How much does the 2024 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 6.30% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,080 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2024 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 BMW X3 earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal comes from blending luxury SUV practicality with BMW’s sporty driving character. It is positioned as a compact, upscale SUV that is smaller than the X5, more affordable, and still delivers premium features along with agility and driving engagement. That makes it a strong fit if you want an everyday SUV that still feels premium and responsive.

The cabin and equipment list reinforce that balance, with BMW’s latest iDrive system, a 14.9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, a wireless charger, heated front seats, and a powered tailgate. It also offers useful cargo space for daily life, with 31.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 67.1 cubic feet with the rear bench folded.

Good and great deals account for 38.7% of listings, so you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from if you want value.

Is the 2024 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 X3 is described as a well-rounded premium SUV with strong safety and convenience equipment, including automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, parking assistance, and a rearview camera. Its overall package suggests a vehicle built to handle daily use with confidence while still delivering the upscale experience you expect from BMW.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that premium vehicles can bring higher maintenance and repair costs than non-luxury rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X3?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report to confirm title status, prior damage, and service records. A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, especially if you want to verify the condition of the electronics, brakes, tires, and suspension. Focus on overall wear and maintenance history, since premium SUVs can be more expensive to keep in top shape over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X3?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,080 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,447, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $37,447 sits slightly below last year's $39,966.

That softer pricing suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make the X3 easier to purchase now but may also temper near-term resale upside for current owners. If you buy at a competitive price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your future trade-in position. The model’s premium positioning and broad appeal should still support demand among shoppers looking for a luxury SUV with everyday usability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $45,035, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,447 average.
• The redesign brings a more minimalist cabin and a distinct new design.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the smarter primary choice because it combines strong satisfaction, solid inventory, and a lower average price. If you care more about the redesigned look and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the better secondary path.
