Why it stands out
The 2023 Toyota Crown marks a bold entry into the automotive market, skillfully balancing the characteristics of large sedans and SUVs. With its elevated ride height, it offers a distinctive presence that is both stylish and practical. One of the standout features of the Crown is its exceptional fuel efficiency, particularly with the standard hybrid powertrain that boasts an impressive EPA rating of 42 mpg in city driving. This efficient system makes it a preferred option for buyers seeking economical options without sacrificing comfort.
Moreover, the Crown provides a modern interior with a focus on technology and ease of use, including a large 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a digital key feature that makes access a breeze. Although the performance may feel somewhat subdued, particularly with its hybrid systems, it caters to a specific demographic looking for reliability and comfort rather than sporty thrills.
While the vehicle has been criticized for its interior materials feeling less premium and its cargo space being somewhat limited, these concerns are typically outweighed by its overall value proposition in the full-size sedan category.

Vehicle rides and drives GREAT! Vehicle has many safety features that enhance one’s experience behind the wheel… Excellent value, and I would say it compares to luxury vehicle at a reasonable price point…

Reviewed a 2023 Toyota Crown on May 29, 2023
I did driving Crown Platinum test several times and each time was disappointed. Limited head and shoulder room in comparison with my Avalon Limited 2011. More stiff suspension. During the last test the Crown Platinum had a permanent warning about the hybrid system mulfunction and check engine. And it was on a brand new car that had only 2 miles on the odometer. The dealer was not honest and told me that is normal. Very disappointed.
