What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Camry?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report so you can confirm accident status, title history, and any major red flags before you go further. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the car’s condition, especially wear items and anything that suggests the vehicle was neglected or heavily used. Because this model is often chosen for everyday practicality, a careful condition check helps you separate the best-maintained examples from the rest.

What is the 2023 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $24,776 sits slightly below last year's $25,171.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may slightly temper future resale gains if you sell soon. Even so, the Camry’s broad appeal, strong owner satisfaction, and practical reputation should help it stay in demand. If you buy well and keep the car in good condition, you should still have a solid path to resale later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,258, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,776 average.
• It offers roomy, reliable, efficient, safe, and affordable transportation.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better primary target. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
