What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Tesla Model 3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks overall condition carefully. Because some owners mention concerns about durability and sun exposure inside the car, condition matters a lot on this model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Tesla Model 3?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,247 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 10.33% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 76.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,683, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $28,438 sits slightly above last year's $25,775.

That upward move suggests the market still sees strong demand for this model year, which can help support future resale value. If prices remain firm and inventory stays relatively active, you may have a better chance of holding value than with a model that has weaker demand. The combination of broad shopper interest and a strong owner rating can also help keep used-market attention steady.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 10.33% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better primary choice if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current market demand, and a broad used-car shopping pool. If your top priority is stretching your budget, a nearby year may be worth a look, but you should expect to trade off some of the 2023’s current-market appeal.
