How much does the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 5.67% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,115 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing options.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth handling, great mileage, and strong safety features, and many also like its comfort and style. That fits well if you want a compact crossover that emphasizes practicality, everyday usability, and all-weather confidence over flash. With 36.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers describing it as a solid option and highlighting its trouble-free feel, strong safety, and easy-to-live-with nature. That said, used buyers should still focus on maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk is always lower when the vehicle has been cared for consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. Pay extra attention to overall condition, since a clean record does not replace a thorough inspection. It is also smart to test the features you care about most and make sure everything works as expected before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate market for buyers, so you can be selective without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,115 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,601, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $23,604 sits slightly below last year's $25,024.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable level, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the market holds up. A model with broad appeal, strong safety reputation, and practical everyday use tends to stay relevant with shoppers. Well-kept examples should be easier to move later than neglected ones, especially if they have clean history and strong documentation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,271, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,604 average.
• It adds a Wilderness trim and upgraded safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the stronger starting point because it combines lower pricing with solid owner satisfaction and healthy inventory. If you are willing to pay more for newer features and a more off-road-focused setup, the 2024 is the better upgrade path.
