It has featured minor incremental changes since then. It carries over into 2023 largely unchanged. ## Design The 2023 Sentra features Nissan’s contemporary design language, scaled down to the compact sedan format. Power is routed to the front wheels through Nissan’s Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT), which features a manual mode with simulated tap-shift “gears.” In the S and SV trims, this powertrain returns fuel economy of 29 mpg city, 39 highway, and 33 combined.
