Used 2023 Nissan Maxima for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2023 Nissan Maxima cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 386 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Nissan Maxima a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2023 Nissan Maxima stands out as a sedan that still leans hard into Nissan’s long-running “Four-door sports car” identity, with a 3.5-liter V6, 300 horsepower, and handling sharpened by larger sway bars. It is described as more relaxed than truly thrilling, but that balance can work well if you want a quick, composed daily driver with a strong standard equipment list and useful safety tech. With 33.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Nissan Maxima reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2023 Nissan Maxima is presented as a well-equipped sedan with a strong safety record, and it has earned “Top Safety Pick” or “Top Safety Pick+” designations from the IIHS every year it was on sale. Its standard safety and convenience content also suggests a model built to deliver a consistent ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright complexity and more about making sure you choose a well-kept example that still feels tight and clean inside and out.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Maxima?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.4% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should prioritize a clean history report first, then inspect the car closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, since a used Maxima’s value depends heavily on how well it has been maintained and whether it still feels as composed as it should on the road.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Maxima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 386 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,259, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Maxima's resale value?

The current average of $26,463 sits slightly above last year's $26,440. That small increase suggests the market has stayed stable rather than swinging sharply, which is helpful if you plan to sell later. A steady price trend can make it easier to estimate future value, especially when the model continues to attract shoppers looking for a distinctive, well-equipped sedan. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Maxima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 Maxima makes the most sense if you want a well-equipped sedan with a distinctive personality and you value stable pricing in a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2023 is the cleaner choice when you want the strongest mix of satisfaction, availability, and predictable pricing.
