How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

There are 1,356 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 94 cubic feet of cargo space. It is positioned as a midsize SUV that blends the comfort and space of the S-Class luxury sedan with some off-road capability, so you should expect a family-focused luxury hauler rather than a traditional large SUV.

For this generation, Mercedes added a curvier exterior and a wide-screened, tech-forward cabin, along with standard dual 12.3-inch displays with MBUX, navigation, a Burmester surround sound stereo, wireless charging, and three years of Mercedes Me Connect services. Standard safety and convenience features are also a major part of the appeal, including blind spot assist, 360-degree cameras, adaptive headlamps, auto high beams, parking assist, power-folding third-row seats, and power-adjustable second-row seats.

The 36.1% share of good and great deals suggests you have meaningful room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS is presented as a spacious, comfort-first luxury SUV with strong equipment and broad utility. Its appeal comes from the mix of space, comfort, and technology rather than from a stripped-down, minimal-complexity formula.

The buying guide also notes that third-row seat access is a con, and touch-sensing controls are another annoyance. For long-term ownership, that means you should expect a premium SUV experience with some usability tradeoffs that can matter more as the vehicle ages.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims about prior damage and maintenance. Put inspection priority on the third row, the touch controls, and overall cabin condition, since those are the areas most likely to affect day-to-day satisfaction. Focus on how the SUV fits your passengers and cargo needs, because packaging and usability are central to this model’s value.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $63,578 sits slightly below last year's $70,547.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well your GLS stands out against the available inventory. If you keep the SUV clean, well-documented, and accident-free, you should be in a stronger position when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.88% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $45,994, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $63,578 average.
• The 2022 emphasizes flagship-size luxury and everyday usefulness.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $69,685, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $63,578 average.
• The 2024 adds refreshed styling and updated tech.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped GLS with a softer market price and strong inventory. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want newer updates and can spend more, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
