Is the 2023 Lexus LX a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2023 Lexus LX is positioned as a full-size body-on-frame SUV that blends serious off-road hardware with luxury comfort, and it is described as smooth and quiet on the road. That makes it a fit if you want one SUV that can handle rough terrain without feeling crude in everyday driving. With 38.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Lexus LX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Lexus LX is described as having a strong reputation for reliability, along with genuine off-road capability and a durable body-on-frame design. That combination suggests it is built for long-term use rather than short-term novelty. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about basic toughness and more about making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly and hasn’t been abused off-road.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus LX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and verify that the vehicle’s past matches the seller’s story. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has seen trail use or heavy towing. Focus on overall condition, including interior wear, suspension behavior, and any signs that the luxury features or off-road systems have not been cared for properly.

If you find a listing below $84,429, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus LX's resale value?

The current average of $84,429 sits slightly below last year's $92,496.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled from a year ago, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is presented when it comes time to list it. Because this model has strong owner satisfaction and a distinctive mix of luxury and off-road capability, it should continue to attract interest from buyers who want that specific formula.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus LX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• It introduced the redesigned LX with a new platform and updated tech.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better pick if you want the newer model-year balance of luxury, capability, and market softness. If you are especially price-sensitive, the 2022 can be worth a look because it delivers the redesign foundation and may open up more value-oriented listings.
