Used 2023 Lexus GX for Sale nearLas Vegas, NV

How much does the 2023 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 3.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,327 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus GX earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 6.00/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 7/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, proven reliability, powerful V8 engine, off-road capability, and comfort. That lines up with the GX’s use case as a body-on-frame luxury SUV for you if you want towing and trail ability without giving up a premium feel.

The trade-offs are clear: the GX is dated versus newer rivals, its technology is behind the curve, and fuel economy is a weak point. It also suits you best if you value rugged capability and a commanding driving position more than the latest cabin tech or maximum space efficiency.

Only 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market is selective rather than broadly discounted.

Is the 2023 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels proven, dependable, and trouble-free over time, with many shoppers specifically valuing its long-term reliability. The expert evaluation also reinforces that sense of durability by describing the GX as a traditional SUV built around a robust V8 and a real 4WD system.

If you’re buying used, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright fragility and more about age-related wear, especially on a vehicle whose design and technology are already behind newer alternatives.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus GX?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the SUV has been used for towing or off-road driving. Focus on overall condition, signs of hard use, and whether the cabin and technology still feel acceptable for your needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the core GX experience, but it also leaves you with a more limited equipment set than the higher trims. The cabin is described as having some plastic-heavy surfaces, while the upper trims add more luxury-oriented equipment and options.
• Powertrain: The GX uses a 4.6-liter V8 with 301 horsepower and 329 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission. It’s tuned for smooth, low-end power and towing rather than modern efficiency.
• Safety package: The GX includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, and automatic high beams. It is missing lane-tracing assist and road-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. The system is improved over the older setup, but it still feels dated and the graphics are not especially crisp.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 15 mpg city, 19 mpg highway, and 16 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Lexus GX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lexus GX is offered in 4 trim levels: GX 460, GX 460 Premium, GX 460 Luxury, and GX 460 Black Line.

Here's the short version:

• GX 460: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core GX formula at the lowest price. It’s the trim to consider if you want the V8, standard 4WD, and the traditional GX character without paying for extra luxury features.
• GX 460 Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful comfort and convenience upgrades without jumping all the way to Luxury pricing. It’s the trim to target if you want a more complete daily-driver experience.
• GX 460 Luxury: This is the trim to buy if you want the most upscale GX experience and are willing to pay for it. It brings the highest starting price and the most premium positioning in the lineup.
• GX 460 Black Line: This is the limited-production choice if you want a more distinctive appearance and added equipment, including the panoramic monitor as standard. It’s best for you if exclusivity matters more than value.

The GX includes a solid standard safety package, but it does miss some higher-end driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus GX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,327 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $54,481, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $54,998 sits slightly below last year's $56,795.

That softer pricing suggests the GX has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you if you buy at the right number and hold the vehicle for a while. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the SUV has been maintained.

The GX’s strong owner satisfaction should help support demand when it’s time to sell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lexus GX safe?

The 2023 Lexus GX has not been crash tested by either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus equips the GX with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, and automatic high beams. It does miss lane-tracing assist and road-sign recognition, so you don’t get the full top-end driver-assistance suite.

The main safety caveat is age: this SUV was originally engineered for the 2010 model year, so its underlying structure is older than what you’ll find in newer rivals.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the V8-powered, body-on-frame formula that suits towing and off-road use.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $47,158, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $54,998 average.
• It emphasizes rugged capability and towing ahead of everyday polish.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-year pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better target. If your priority is spending less up front and you’re comfortable with the same basic rugged GX formula, the 2022 is the value play.
