For 2023, the Stinger benefits from the model’s later-year reputation for better reliability, and the buying guide notes that the final model year is considered the best year by JD Power’s Quality and Reliability score. It also carries strong safety credentials, with top ratings from major safety organizations. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure you choose a well-maintained example with a clean history and no unresolved recall-related concerns.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Stinger?

At 74.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven wear, and any evidence of deferred maintenance, since those issues matter more when a meaningful portion of the market has accident history. If you’re considering a V6 model, make sure you verify recall status as part of your buying checklist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Stinger?

This looks like a moderate market, so selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 370 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.34% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Kia Stinger's resale value?

The current average of $32,856 sits slightly below last year's $33,992.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the current trend means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and history than on broad market appreciation. If you keep the car clean, well-documented, and accident-free, you’ll be in a better position to protect value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Stinger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.34% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,262, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,856 average.
• It offers a refreshed take with more power and updated design touches.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market value, owner satisfaction, and later-year appeal, the 2023 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the smarter budget-focused alternative.
