How much does the 2023 Kia Sorento cost?

Prices have softened 6.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,327 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Kia Sorento a good car?

The 2023 Kia Sorento is a balanced choice if you want a midsize SUV with family-friendly space, a standard third row, and a wide range of powertrain choices. Its user rating is 3.7/5, and the model’s mix of efficiency, stronger acceleration, and a more traditional gas-only setup gives you flexibility depending on how you drive.

The Sorento also brings an upscale feel for the class, with features like wood-grained trim, quilted leather upholstery, and standard smart key access with push-button start on the base LX. If you want a three-row SUV that feels more polished than basic transportation, this one fits that use case well.

37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Kia Sorento reliable?

The 2023 Kia Sorento includes standard collision warning, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, and higher trims can add even more driver-assist technology. That gives you a reassuring baseline of safety coverage for everyday use.

It also offers a broad feature set and multiple powertrain choices, which can help you match the vehicle to your needs rather than overbuying. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is choosing a poorly maintained example, so condition and service history matter more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Kia Sorento?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or incomplete repairs. Focus on overall condition, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with more equipment, since the Sorento’s value depends heavily on how well it was maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Kia Sorento?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,327 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,369, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Kia Sorento's resale value?

The current average of $26,369 sits slightly below last year's $28,263.

That price movement suggests the Sorento has softened enough to help you buy more carefully today, but it also means future resale may depend on how well the market stabilizes. If you plan to sell later, a clean history and strong condition should matter even more because buyers will have plenty of comparable listings to choose from.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia Sorento or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.70% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,697, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,369 average.
• It adds useful updates while keeping the Sorento’s three-row layout.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $28,728, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $26,369 average.
• It brings a visual refresh and easier-to-use tech.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2023 if you want a well-equipped Sorento with a softer used price than the newer model year. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play; if you want the newer styling and updates, the 2024 is the step up to compare.
