You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm there are no gaps in maintenance or charging-related repairs. What is the 2023 Kia EV6's resale value?

The current average of $26,391 sits slightly below last year's $28,423.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should focus on buying a well-kept example at a competitive price so you have less depreciation to absorb. Strong condition and desirable equipment should matter more than ever when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Kia EV6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,529, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,391 average.
• It feels like Kia’s first bold EV statement.

The 2023 is the better all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and market availability. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the EV6’s standout style and performance character.
