Used 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L for Sale near Colorado

How much does the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L cost?

Prices have softened 16.29% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 566 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L a good car?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L earns a 7.17/10 expert rating.

The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

It stands out as a full-size luxury SUV with an extended-length body, a decadently outfitted cabin, and generous cargo space, so it fits you well if you want luxury and utility in the same package. The trade-offs are clear: the price is high, turbo lag is mentioned, and the tech user experience is described as dissatisfying.

The market shows 42.4% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L reliable?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L is presented as a luxury-focused SUV with a powerful engine, a comfortable ride, and standard four-wheel drive, which supports the case for confident everyday use. Its cabin and equipment level also point to a well-equipped ownership experience.

The performance notes describe the twin-turbo inline-six as smooth, quiet, and refined, and it averaged 17.1 mpg in testing, slightly better than the official combined estimate of 17 mpg. Jeep also says the new Hurricane engine is more efficient than the V8 it replaces in most 2023 Grand Wagoneer models, reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 15 percent.

Jeep also includes a “Client Services” package, which adds some ownership support beyond the vehicle itself. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a highly complex, high-priced luxury SUV can be expensive to keep in top shape if prior maintenance has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin tech, driver-assistance systems, and wheel-and-tire condition, since the vehicle’s complexity and size make condition especially important. Focus on whether the features you want are actually present on the specific trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes a base model, Series II, Series III, and Obsidian versions for Series II and Series III. The base model is the entry point, while the higher trims add more luxury equipment and the Obsidian versions bring a blacked-out appearance.
• Powertrain: You get a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine called the Hurricane 510, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard Quadra-Drive four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case. Jeep says it makes 510 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, and the SUV is rated to tow 9,450 pounds.
• Safety package: Active Driving Assist pairs adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Management, and the SUV also includes Intersection Collision Assist, Night Vision with pedestrian and animal detection, and automatic parking. It does not offer hands-free highway driving assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrumentation panel and a 12-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, along with wireless smartphone charging, navigation, Amazon Alexa integration, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep says the Grand Wagoneer L is rated at 17 mpg combined, and testing returned 17.1 mpg. Jeep also says the Hurricane engine is more efficient than the V8 it replaces in most 2023 Grand Wagoneer models, reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 15 percent.

Which 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L is offered in 4 trim levels: base model, Series II, Series III, and Obsidian.

Here's the short version:

• base model: This is the entry point if you want the Grand Wagoneer L experience without moving up the price ladder. It gives you the core luxury-SUV formula, but the higher trims are where the richer equipment and more upscale presentation become more obvious.
• Series II: This is the trim to target if you want a stronger balance of luxury and value. It sits above the base model and can be had with Obsidian styling if you want the blacked-out look.
• Series III: This is the best-value choice if you want the most complete version of the Grand Wagoneer L. It brings the top-shelf cabin experience, and the test vehicle’s equipment level showed how far this trim can be pushed.
• Obsidian: Choose this if you want the Series II or Series III with a blacked-out appearance. It is more about style than a fundamental change in capability.

The safety package is broad, but note that Active Driving Assist still requires you to keep your hands on the wheel.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L?

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment if you’re shopping carefully, because pricing has softened and there are still enough listings to compare.

• Deal availability: 42.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 566 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.29% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $49,816, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L's resale value?

The current average of $49,816 sits slightly below last year's $59,509.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment level, especially because this is a high-priced luxury SUV.

The good news for a future seller is that the Grand Wagoneer L still has strong appeal as a full-size luxury SUV with a powerful engine and generous space. The challenge is that expensive, tech-heavy vehicles can lose value faster when newer alternatives arrive or when condition is not exceptional.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L safe?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Jeep loads the Grand Wagoneer L with standard and available safety features, including Intersection Collision Assist, Night Vision with pedestrian and animal detection, and automatic parking for parallel and perpendicular spaces. Active Driving Assist is useful, but it is not a hands-free system, so you still need to keep your hands on the wheel.

A key caveat is that the system’s lane-departure warning vibration can be hard to detect, and the adaptive cruise behavior showed some delayed response and uneven braking in testing. That means you should evaluate the driver-assistance setup carefully during your own test drive.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 42.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.29% compared with last year.
• The 2023 stands out as a full-size luxury SUV with an extended-length body, a decadently outfitted cabin, and generous cargo space.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of luxury, space, and current market value, the 2023 is the one to focus on. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep shopping listings closely and prioritize the cleanest, best-equipped example you can find.
