Used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L for Sale nearTrenton, NJ

How much does the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L cost?

Prices have softened 2.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,496 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, spaciousness, and comfortable features, and they also frequently call out its powerful engine performance and towing capability. In use, that lines up with the Grand Cherokee L’s family-friendly mission and its more upscale feel than a typical mainstream SUV. The main trade-offs are the underwhelming base engine and the irritating transmission, so it makes the most sense if you value comfort, refinement, and interior quality more than powertrain polish. Good and great deals account for 37.4% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle people can count on for everyday use, with praise centered on comfort, spaciousness, and strong performance over time. The expert evaluation also describes the Grand Cherokee L as a solid value at both the low and high end, which supports the idea that it can be a dependable long-term ownership choice if you buy the right example. Jeep also includes two years of scheduled maintenance with every 2023 model, which helps ease early ownership costs. For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is choosing one with neglected maintenance or a rough powertrain history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a proper inspection. Pay close attention to trim-specific equipment, build date, and the condition of the cabin and electronics, since the Grand Cherokee L’s appeal depends heavily on how well its premium features have been maintained. If you’re shopping a higher trim, make sure the added technology and comfort features work as intended before you commit.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Laredo and Altitude use an 8.4-inch touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument panel, while the Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve get a 10.1-inch touchscreen and full-screen maps on the instrument panel. Lower trims miss some of the richer interior presentation and larger-screen tech that make the upper trims feel more upscale.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, but it is described as the weakest part of the vehicle. A 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet is optional and is the better choice if you plan to tow.
• Safety package: Forward emergency braking, rear emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are standard. Front cross-traffic braking, backup camera washer, and 360-degree cameras are optional on Limited and Overland trims, while Active Driving Assist is standard only on Summit Reserve.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while upper trims move to a 10.1-inch unit. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the lineup, and Uconnect 5 is the operating system throughout.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 4x4 setup is rated at 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. The V8 drops to 14/22/17, so fuel costs rise quickly if you choose the more powerful engine.

Which 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is offered in 8 trim levels: Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, Summit Reserve, and two additional trims referenced in the equipment descriptions.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point if you want the Grand Cherokee L’s core three-row packaging and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without paying for the larger screen or richer cabin upgrades.
• Altitude: This trim adds a more upscale presentation while keeping the same basic tech layout, making it a sensible step up if you want a nicer look without jumping too far in price.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 10.1-inch touchscreen and navigation, giving you a more premium-feeling cabin and better everyday usability.
• Overland: Choose this if you want a more luxurious setup and are willing to pay for additional comfort and tech features beyond the Limited.
• Summit: This trim pushes further into luxury territory and is the gateway to features like night vision.
• Summit Reserve: This is the top choice if you want the most complete version of the Grand Cherokee L, including the most advanced comfort and tech features; it is also the trim with Active Driving Assist standard.

The safety package is strongest on higher trims, and Active Driving Assist is standard only on Summit Reserve.

• Inventory: There are 6,496 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.

What is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L's resale value?

The current average of $30,285 sits slightly below last year's $31,176.

That decline suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, the softer pricing trend means you should expect some depreciation pressure, especially if you buy above the market average today. Even so, the Grand Cherokee L’s strong owner satisfaction helps support demand when it’s time to resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 brings higher prices and new competitors, but it still stands out for comfort-first three-row luxury and strong handling.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,096, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $30,285 average.
• It offers a polished, well-finished three-row SUV with a premium interior and comfortable ride.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of comfort, tech, safety, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is saving money and you still want the Grand Cherokee L’s upscale feel, the 2022 is the value-minded alternative worth a close look.
