How much does the 2023 Jeep Cherokee cost?

There are 1,083 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2023 Jeep Cherokee, and it fits a compact SUV that blends everyday usability with genuine Jeep character. The 2023 model’s appeal comes from its standard 8.4-inch touchscreen, SiriusXM, available all-weather traction, and a value-oriented position relative to newer Jeep models. It also stands out for buyers who want a compact SUV with more capability-minded personality than a typical crossover.

With 37.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to shop from if you want to balance features with price.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Cherokee’s reliability story is shaped by its long-running strengths and its known weak spots: it offers familiar Jeep character and useful equipment, but its reputation is tempered by poor efficiency and transmission issues that affected early third-generation models. That means a careful test drive matters, especially if you’re evaluating a higher-mileage example or one with incomplete service records.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a vehicle that has unresolved drivetrain concerns, so condition and maintenance history should carry extra weight.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a thorough inspection of the drivetrain and transmission behavior during a test drive. Pay close attention to how the vehicle shifts, accelerates, and behaves at low speeds, since that’s where lingering issues are most likely to show up.

You should also evaluate overall condition carefully, including signs of wear that might suggest harder use, because the Cherokee’s value proposition depends heavily on finding a well-kept example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,083 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,026, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $23,225 sits slightly above last year's $23,165.

That small increase suggests the Cherokee has held its value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of pricing pattern can be helpful because it points to a market that is stable enough to support predictable trade-in or private-party expectations.

The Cherokee’s value should remain tied to condition, mileage, and how well it presents against newer alternatives. If you keep it clean, documented, and mechanically sound, you’re more likely to preserve stronger resale appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right pick if you want the Cherokee’s final-year mix of Jeep character, usable features, and relatively stable pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still compare nearby years, but the 2023 gives you a straightforward path to a well-equipped used SUV with a broad inventory pool.
