Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the Cherokee’s final-year setup is more complete than its early years, with a stronger standard feature set and added convenience and safety equipment on upper trims. Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title history, and maintenance records. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or incomplete service documentation. Focus your condition check on signs of wear, evidence of prior repairs, and whether the features and safety systems work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,031 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $23,095 sits slightly above last year's $23,070.

That small increase suggests the Cherokee has held its value fairly steadily rather than swinging sharply in either direction. For a future seller, that kind of price stability can make it easier to estimate your exit value and avoid a steep depreciation surprise. It also means well-kept examples should remain easier to position in the used market than vehicles with more volatile pricing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right pick if you want the Cherokee’s final-year mix of usability, standard tech, and steady pricing. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may still make sense, especially if you can find a cleaner example with a lower asking price and similar equipment.
