How much does the 2023 INFINITI Q50 cost?

Prices have softened 3.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 659 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 INFINITI Q50 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 INFINITI Q50 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 8/10.

The Q50’s appeal is rooted in its style-and-performance focus, and it still stands out if you want a sedan that feels more expressive than many crossover alternatives. It also gets easy-to-use technology, which helps offset some of the car’s older-feeling presentation.

The trade-offs are clear: the fuel economy is poor, the technology is outdated, and the overall value proposition is weak. Even so, if you want a luxury sedan that prioritizes looks and driving character over the newest features, the Q50 still fits that use case.

30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 INFINITI Q50 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q50’s long-running design and straightforward sedan formula support its reputation as a familiar, easy-to-understand used buy. Its performance character is a major part of the appeal, and the tech setup is simple enough that you can get comfortable with it quickly.

The Q50 also benefits from standard driver-assistance equipment that covers the basics, which helps it feel less barebones than some older luxury sedans. If you’re buying used, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and higher ownership costs can matter more than the car’s core strengths.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 INFINITI Q50?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a vehicle history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or signs of heavy use. Focus on overall condition, because the Q50’s age means cosmetic wear, tech quirks, and maintenance history matter more than a fresh showroom impression.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Luxe trim is the value-oriented choice because it is still well equipped, while higher trims add more equipment but can push the price into a less compelling range. The cabin and exterior styling remain a major part of the Q50’s appeal, but the older design also means some controls and displays feel dated compared with newer rivals.
• Powertrain: The Q50 uses a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 300 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. It can be configured with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and the engine delivers strong acceleration, though fuel economy is a weak point.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring and intervention. There is no hands-free driving capability on this model.
• Infotainment: The Q50 uses a two-screen setup with touchscreens, and it supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system is easy to use overall, but the screens and interface design feel dated.
• Fuel efficiency: The Q50 is rated at 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined.

Which 2023 INFINITI Q50 trim should I buy?

The 2023 INFINITI Q50 is offered in 1 trim level: Luxe.

Here's the short version:

The Luxe is the trim to target because it is the recommended starting point and still comes well equipped for the money. It gives you the core Q50 experience without pushing you into the pricier upper trims, which are harder to justify given the model’s value concerns.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the key driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 INFINITI Q50?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 659 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,130, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 INFINITI Q50's resale value?

The current average of $31,130 sits slightly below last year's $32,354.

That decline suggests the Q50 has softened in the used market, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less favorable if you’re planning to sell soon. The current pricing also shows that the model is still holding a meaningful share of its value relative to its original positioning.

For a future seller, that means condition and equipment will matter a lot. A clean history, strong maintenance records, and a well-kept interior should help your car stand out in a market where buyers are already price-sensitive.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 INFINITI Q50 safe?

The 2023 INFINITI Q50 earns Good ratings from IIHS and a five-star rating in NHTSA rollover testing.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring and intervention. That gives you a solid baseline of driver assistance, even if the overall safety-tech roster is not especially advanced.

The main caveat is that the Q50 does not stand out as a class leader in safety technology, and it lacks hands-free driving capability. If safety tech is a top priority, you may want to compare it carefully against newer rivals.

Should I buy a 2023 INFINITI Q50 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Despite the increasing popularity of crossovers and SUVs, there are still plenty of shoppers hungry for a good old fashioned sedan, and the 2023 Q50 still offers style and performance in that space.

The bottom line: If you want the Q50’s style, power, and straightforward luxury-sedan formula, the 2023 is a sensible year to target because pricing has eased and inventory is available. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years for the best combination of condition and asking price.

How does the 2023 INFINITI Q50 compare to the 2023 BMW 3 Series?

Expert Pros & Cons (per CarGurus review team)

2023 INFINITI Q50:

• Pros: Stylish design, Powerful engine, Easy-to-use technology.
• Cons: Poor fuel economy, Outdated technology, Poor value for money.

2023 BMW 3 Series:

• Pros: Stylish design, Great ride quality, Quiet cabin.
• Cons: Manual transmission not available, Interior materials feel cheap.

Our experts score the 2023 INFINITI Q50 6.7/10 and the 2023 BMW 3 Series 8.7/10. The Q50 leans harder into power and easy-to-use tech, while the 3 Series is the stronger all-around pick thanks to its better ride quality and quieter cabin. The Q50’s weak fuel economy and dated tech make it feel less competitive, especially next to the BMW’s more polished driving experience.
