FAQs
For 2022, the Infiniti Q50 luxury sedan adds new upscale comfort features to make it more competitive in its tough segment. The Q50, a value-oriented alternative to pricier sedans from European and American brands, now comes standard with a Bose premium audio system and wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility. The Pure trim that was the base model for 2021 has been discontinued this year, but the remaining three trims, Luxe, Sensory, and Red Sport 400, carry over. Luxe and Sensory provide the kind of upscale treatments that shoppers expect in this segment, complementing the athletic exterior and smartly tailored interior designs, while the Red Sport 400 model evolves the Q50 into a proper sport sedan.
Every Q50 comes fitted with a longitudinally mounted 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. In the Luxe and Sensory models, it’s rated for 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. In the Red Sport 400 model, it’s tuned for 400 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. The Red Sport 400 model also gets a second water pump and an optical turbine speed sensor to aid engine performance and efficiency. All models get a seven-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode as well as downshift rev matching, and the Red Sport 400 gets paddle shifters on the steering wheel. Rear-wheel drive (RWD) comes standard across the lineup, though every model can be upgraded with all-wheel drive (AWD) for $2,000.
Luxe models get 18-inch alloy wheels, while Sensory and Red Sport 400 get 19-inch alloys in a sportier design. Wheels come fitted with all-season or summer run-flat tires, depending on the car’s configuration. A four-wheel independent suspension system comes standard across the lineup. Sensory and Red Sport 400 models get a distinctive and more aerodynamic front bumper design.
The Red Sport 400 model gets a number of other unique upgrades, such as black exterior trim, brushed satin finish dual exhaust tips, a performance brake system with red-painted four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers, a dynamic suspension system, and, in RWD models, staggered-width wheels.
Inside the Infiniti Q50’s sophisticated and comfortable cabin, you’ll find standard leather upholstery, driver’s seat power-adjustable lumbar support, driver’s seat memory settings, a power-adjustable steering wheel, power-folding outside mirrors, and a Bose Performance Series audio system. This year, the mid-tier Sensory trim is newly available with Saddle Brown leather upholstery. The Sensory model also gets open-pore wood trim and an air purifier system. The Red Sport 400 comes with aluminum pedals, plus semi-aniline leather upholstery in Gallery White or Graphite, both with red contrast stitching.
The seats themselves feature Infiniti’s zero-gravity technology to provide consistent spine support for greater comfort and alertness. The Q50 seats five passengers with plenty of head room and leg room in both rows.
The Infiniti Q50’s infotainment system features dual touch-screen displays, an 8-inch upper and a 7-inch lower, and supports Android Auto along with the newly standard wireless Apple CarPlay.
The 2022 Infiniti Q50 is on sale now, and its MSRP starts at $42,100 for the base Luxe trim. The Red Sport 400, with its wealth of performance and styling upgrades, starts at $55,950.

Seriously out of date on safety issues as cross trsffic monitoring all around cameras etc. I have owned 5 Infinites and have always thought Infiniti was ahead in technology. This model has fallen behind.
It had a bad smell. I like how it run
