How much does the 2023 Hyundai Palisade cost?

Prices have softened 11.16% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,610 listings available, which suggests you should have a workable range of choices.

Is the 2023 Hyundai Palisade a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Hyundai Palisade earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.83/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfortable ride, generous space, and strong value, and they especially like how the third row fits taller passengers better than many rivals. The Palisade’s family-focused layout and well-equipped cabin also come through clearly in the feedback.

The main trade-offs are that all-wheel drive is not standard and some drivers want more engine power, plus a few convenience features are missing on lower trims. Even so, the Palisade’s comfortable character and strong feature set make it a compelling choice if you want a polished three-row SUV for family duty. Good and great deals account for 39.8% of listings, so there’s still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Hyundai Palisade reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on the Palisade’s value and comfort over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes its strong warranty coverage and complimentary scheduled maintenance, which help reduce early ownership costs and support confidence in long-term use.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about day-to-day dependability and more about choosing a well-kept example with the right equipment and history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Hyundai Palisade?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear, electronics, and any signs of prior bodywork. Pay close attention to trim-specific equipment, since some desirable comfort and tech features are reserved for higher versions.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SE starts with cloth seats and a six-way power driver seat, while higher trims add heated eight-way front seats, with leatherette on SEL and XRT and leather trim on Limited. The top trims also bring more upscale touches such as heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats, heated third-row seats, and second-row captain’s chairs, while the SEL can be optioned with a Premium package that adds many of those features.
• Powertrain: Every 2023 Palisade uses a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available on any trim.
• Safety package: Hyundai Smart Sense is standard and includes forward collision avoidance, driver attention warning, high beam assist, lane-keeping and lane-following assist, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with stop and go and curve control, intelligent speed limit assist, and safe exit warning. Highway Driving Assist I is standard on SE, SEL, and XRT, while Highway Driving Assist II is available on SEL and standard on Limited and Calligraphy.
• Infotainment: Every trim gets a standard 12.3-inch color touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM, and Bluetooth. WiFi hotspot capability is standard on every trim, and wireless charging is standard on all but the base trim.
• Fuel efficiency: Front-wheel-drive models return 19 mpg city, 27 highway, and 22 combined, while all-wheel-drive models return 19 city, 25 highway, and 21 combined.

Which 2023 Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade is offered in 5 trim levels: SE, SEL, XRT, Limited, and Calligraphy.

Here's the short version:

• SE: This is the value entry point if you want the Palisade’s core strengths at the lowest price, including the standard V6, the 12.3-inch touchscreen, WiFi hotspot capability, and Hyundai Smart Sense safety tech. It’s the trim to choose if you want the most affordable path into the lineup and can live without the extra luxury features.
• SEL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds meaningful comfort and convenience upgrades while staying below the pricier upper trims. It also unlocks the available Premium package, which is the smartest way to get many of the higher-end features without jumping all the way to Limited.
• XRT: Choose this if you want the more rugged-looking version with its dark grille, roof cross rails, skid plates, and black 20-inch wheels. It also gets standard second-row captain’s chairs and a single sunroof, making it a style-forward pick with a distinct personality.
• Limited: This is the trim to target if you want a more premium family SUV with leather-trimmed seating, heated and ventilated first- and second-row seats, heated third-row seats, the larger digital instrument cluster, and a standard head-up display. It’s the sweet spot for shoppers who want luxury-like equipment without going all the way to the top.
• Calligraphy: This is the most upscale Palisade, with premium Nappa leather, distinctive exterior details, and the most complete feature set. It makes sense if you want the most refined version and are willing to pay for it.

Highway Driving Assist II is available on SEL and standard on Limited and Calligraphy, while Highway Driving Assist I is standard on SE, SEL, and XRT.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Hyundai Palisade?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,610 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.16% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,098, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Hyundai Palisade's resale value?

The current average of $31,098 sits slightly below last year's $35,003.

That price movement suggests the Palisade has become more accessible for buyers, which can help keep demand healthy in the near term. For a future seller, that means you may need to lean on condition, mileage, and trim desirability to stand out. Well-equipped examples with strong history reports should hold up better than bare-bones or heavily worn ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Hyundai Palisade safe?

The 2022 Hyundai Palisade earned a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), and the 2023 model adds new active and passive safety features, including second-row side-impact airbags.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Hyundai Smart Sense is standard, and the feature list includes forward collision avoidance, driver attention warning, high beam assist, lane-keeping and lane-following assist, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with stop and go and curve control, intelligent speed limit assist, and safe exit warning. Highway Driving Assist I is standard on SE, SEL, and XRT, while Highway Driving Assist II is available on SEL and standard on Limited and Calligraphy.

The main safety caveat is that the 2023 model had not been rated by IIHS at the time of review, so you should still look closely at the specific vehicle’s equipment and condition.

Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai Palisade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.16% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 adds a facelift, more standard tech, and more standard safety features.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $25,770, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,098 average.
• It offers a spacious, attractive family SUV with a quiet cabin.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $33,838, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $31,098 average.
• It adds standard three-zone climate control and Bluelink+ connected services.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of updated features, strong owner satisfaction, and a still-reasonable market price, the 2023 is the primary year to target. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the value play; if you want the newer feature set and can spend more, the 2024 is worth a look.
