Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.41% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,928, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,431 average.
• It emphasizes innovation, value, and a spacious, well-equipped cabin.

The 2023 is the better primary choice if you want the stronger current-market balance of satisfaction, inventory, and price stability. If your top priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more price-sensitive path and may be worth a closer look.
