Should I buy a 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,891, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,465 average.
• It offers a value-focused debut with strong tech and spaciousness.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of owner satisfaction, clean inventory, and current-market availability, the 2023 is the stronger all-around pick. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better price-sensitive alternative.
