How much does the 2023 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 2.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 5,100 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Civic earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, fuel efficiency, roomy interior, and strong performance. For you, that means it fits well if you want a practical compact car that still feels polished and upscale, especially if you value everyday usability over flash. With 37.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a meaningful share of market-friendly pricing to explore.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, fuel efficiency, and a car people feel good about keeping long term. That kind of response usually suggests the Civic is a model you can count on if you want steady daily use rather than constant attention. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and matches the condition its asking price implies.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Civic?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the car’s condition matches the listing. Focus on signs of wear, missing features, and any evidence that the car has been repaired after damage. Because some owners mention disappointment with omitted features on certain versions, it also helps to check the exact equipment on the car you’re considering before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 5,100 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,176, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $23,732 sits slightly below last year's $24,236.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now and may also shape what you can expect later as a seller. If you purchase at a competitive price and keep the car in strong condition, you give yourself a better chance of limiting depreciation pain. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $21,981, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $23,732 average.
• The redesign brought a more polished, well-rounded compact car.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $24,831, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $23,732 average.
• It emphasizes engaging performance with a manual-transmission focus.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2023 if you want the strongest blend of owner satisfaction, market availability, and a softened price trend. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better value path, while the 2024 makes sense only if you specifically want its more enthusiast-focused setup.
