How much does the 2023 Honda Accord cost?

Prices have softened 2.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,454 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord a good car?

The 2023 Honda Accord is a strong choice if you want a traditional four-door family sedan with a roomy cabin, enjoyable driving manners, and strong safety credentials. It earns 3.5/5 from users and 6.7/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.

The Accord’s appeal starts with its fun-to-drive character and spacious interior, and the overview also frames it as a redesigned version of Honda’s long-running family sedan. The trade-offs are clear, though: all-wheel drive is not available, several minor comfort issues are noted, and the value proposition is questioned.

With 38.5% of listings priced as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively if you want to balance those strengths against the price.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord reliable?

The 2023 Accord is presented as a robust, well-sorted family sedan with a powertrain that is described as perfectly adequate and a suspension that filters out harshness well. The driving notes also point to good response, detectable road feel, and a cabin that stays composed over rougher pavement.

Honda’s maintenance coverage adds a practical ownership perk, since every new Honda comes with two years or 24,000 miles of free scheduled maintenance. That helps soften early ownership costs for a used buyer who is comparing total running expenses.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is that you may be paying more than some rivals for a car that is competent rather than especially cost-effective.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Accord?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status is not guaranteed on every listing. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment, and pay close attention to interior condition, tire wear, and any signs that the car has been used hard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX and step-up EX are the gas-only versions, while the Accord’s more modern look and interior presentation are part of the redesign. The EX adds a more appealing cabin treatment, an eight-speaker audio system, and an available safety package that fills in important feature gaps.
• Powertrain: The gas model uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 192 horsepower and a CVT. It is described as adequate rather than exciting, and the car is front-wheel drive only.
• Safety package: Every Accord has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. On EX trim, an affordable option package adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen, plus Bluetooth, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, HondaLink connected services, Wi-Fi access, an SOS emergency call button, and two USB-C ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The Accord LX and EX are rated at 32 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2023 Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord is offered in 2 trim levels: LX and EX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Accord experience with the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, Honda Sensing, the digital instrument cluster, and the 7-inch touchscreen. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and do not need extra comfort or audio upgrades.
• EX: This is the better-value pick because it adds an eight-speaker audio system and a more polished cabin presentation while keeping the same basic powertrain and tech layout. If you want the Accord’s strengths without stretching into pricier territory, this is the trim to target.

If you choose EX, the available safety package is worth adding because it brings blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Accord?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully and move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,454 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,566, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $23,727 sits slightly below last year's $24,439.

That tells you the Accord has softened a bit in the used market, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to resell later, the current pricing suggests there is some room for depreciation to continue, especially if you buy above the low end of the range.

For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition. A clean history, good maintenance records, and desirable equipment will matter more if the market stays price-sensitive.

Is the 2023 Honda Accord safe?

The 2023 Honda Accord earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Accord has Honda Sensing, which includes adaptive cruise control with traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, a reversing camera with three views, automatic high-beam headlights, traffic sign recognition, and a driver monitoring system. On EX trim, Honda offers an affordable option package that adds blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

The safety system is described as accurate, refined, and sophisticated, though the lane-centering system can waver a bit in some situations and the lane-departure warning is subtle rather than forceful.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.91% compared with last year.
• The 2023 Accord is described as a redesigned version that is fun to drive, spacious, and strong on safety, even if it is comparatively expensive.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Accord with strong safety, a roomy cabin, and engaging road manners, the 2023 is the right target. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to shop carefully for a lower-mileage example or compare it against other years and rivals that may offer more equipment for the money.
