Used 2023 Genesis G90 for Sale near Illinois

How much does the 2023 Genesis G90 cost?

Prices have softened 7.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 71 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Genesis G90 a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Cost effectiveness, and Safety.

The 2023 Genesis G90 is positioned as a luxury sedan that pushes design and features while still aiming to deliver strong value for money. The cabin emphasis is clear: massaging seats all the way around, a rear reclining seat with a footrest, and a Bang & Olufsen stereo system make it especially appealing if you care about rear-seat comfort and a premium atmosphere.

The trade-offs are just as clear. The expert notes point to a cruiser rather than a sporty sedan, and the car’s response can feel a touch lazy when you ask for more power. It also gives up some convenience with wired smartphone mirroring and limited interior storage.

With 42.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still leaves room to find a strong-value example.

Is the 2023 Genesis G90 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 G90 is described as a major refresh that leans into comfort, refinement, and value, and the expert notes emphasize a quiet cabin, smooth ride quality, and a well-executed stop/start system that restarts without vibration or noise. That kind of polish matters in a luxury sedan because it suggests the car was engineered to feel calm and composed in daily use.

The warranty coverage also helps reduce ownership anxiety, with long powertrain coverage and complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles. For a used buyer, the main long-term risk is less about outright durability and more about making sure the car has been maintained properly and that any luxury features still work as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Genesis G90?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because even a clean-looking luxury sedan can hide prior damage or incomplete repairs. Put extra inspection priority on the cabin electronics, seat functions, and driver-assistance features, since this model leans heavily on comfort and technology. It’s also worth focusing on overall condition, because the G90’s appeal depends a lot on how well its premium materials and features have been preserved.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The G90 is offered in 2 trim levels: 3.5T and 3.5T E-SC. The 3.5T gives you the core luxury experience at the lower price point, while the 3.5T E-SC adds the more powerful mild-hybrid setup and is the better pick if you want the strongest performance and don’t mind paying more.
• Powertrain: The 3.5T uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.5T E-SC uses a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 E-SC with 409 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. Both pair with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, and the top setup uses a 48-volt mild hybrid system for more torque off the line.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, smart cruise control with stop-and-go, highway driving assist, remote parking assist, a 360-degree camera, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning and assist, and parking-collision avoidance. The blind-spot system also adds visual warnings in the gauge cluster and head-up display, which is a useful extra layer of protection.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, wireless-free Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air updates. Rear passengers also get an 8-inch touchscreen for seat, climate, sunshade, and lighting controls.
• Fuel efficiency: The less powerful engine returns 21 mpg combined (18 city / 26 highway), while the top trim returns 20 mpg combined (17 city / 24 highway).

Which 2023 Genesis G90 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Genesis G90 is offered in 2 trim levels: 3.5T and 3.5T E-SC.

Here's the short version:

• 3.5T: This is the value play if you want the G90’s core luxury experience without stretching to the top price. You still get the flagship-sedan comfort, the strong standard safety suite, and the same upscale cabin character, so it makes sense if you care more about the overall experience than maximum output.
• 3.5T E-SC: This is the best choice if you want the most powerful version and are willing to pay for it. The added mild-hybrid boost gives you 409 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, making it the more complete pick for buyers who want the strongest performance in the lineup.

The standard safety package is impressively comprehensive, so even the lower trim gives you a lot of protection and driver assistance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Genesis G90?

This looks like a buyer-friendly market, with enough deal activity and a meaningful amount of inventory to give you negotiating room.

• Deal availability: 42.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 71 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,110, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Genesis G90's resale value?

The current average of $53,736 sits slightly below last year's $58,300.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition, mileage, and feature functionality.

Because this model is positioned as a value-oriented luxury sedan, strong equipment and a premium cabin can help keep it appealing to used shoppers. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Genesis G90 safe?

The 2023 Genesis G90 hasn’t been rated yet by IIHS or NHTSA.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Genesis makes advanced driver assistance standard, including blind-spot monitoring, smart cruise control with stop-and-go, highway driving assist, remote parking assist, a 360-degree camera, lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning and assist, and parking-collision avoidance. The blind-spot system is especially thorough, with audible and visual warnings plus a camera feed in the gauge cluster when you signal.

One caveat is that the published crash-test results are still pending, so you won’t have official IIHS or NHTSA ratings to lean on yet. That makes the standard safety tech reassuring, but not a substitute for formal crash-test data.

Should I buy a 2023 Genesis G90 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 42.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model is described as a major refresh with more luxury features than ever, including massaging seats all the way around and a rear reclining seat with a footrest.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the right pick if you want the refreshed G90 with its richer feature set, strong value positioning, and buyer-friendly pricing. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you’d be giving up some of the 2023’s upgraded luxury appeal and current-market deal opportunities.
