How much does the 2023 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 11.18% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,594 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners commonly praise its spaciousness, features, style, and drivability, and they also value it as a more attainable alternative to pricier luxury SUVs. The Yukon XL’s long-wheelbase layout makes it especially appealing if you need extra third-row room and more cargo space behind it. With 37.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a vehicle that owners describe as reliable, with praise centered on its spaciousness, features, style, and drivability. That said, a few drivers have noted concerns about potential electrical issues and rearview mirror functionality, so you should pay close attention to how the vehicle behaves during a test drive and inspection. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the overall appeal and more about making sure any individual example has been maintained well and shows no signs of unresolved electrical or equipment problems.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 GMC Yukon XL?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a vehicle history report to confirm accident history and look for any signs of prior damage or repeated repairs. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the electrical systems and interior equipment, since owner feedback mentions potential electrical issues and rearview mirror functionality concerns. Because this is a large, feature-rich SUV, you should also focus on overall condition, especially wear on the cabin, cargo area, and any components tied to comfort and convenience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 GMC Yukon XL?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,594 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.18% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $54,605, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $54,605 sits slightly below last year's $61,476.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if prices stay soft. If you plan to sell later, the Yukon XL’s value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well it has been maintained. Strong demand for spacious full-size SUVs can help support resale, but the current downward trend means you should be realistic about depreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is a strong choice if you want the Yukon XL’s space, flexibility, and premium feel while taking advantage of softer pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest one available.
