How much does the 2023 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices are up 9.96% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,764 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — owners rate it 5/5, and that lines up with the strong enthusiasm in the review summary. You’ll see recurring praise for its performance, aesthetics, and value, along with positive comments about the driving experience, the sound system, and the convertible feature. The 2023 Mustang also fits shoppers who want a modern take on an iconic nameplate with a broad range of engines and transmissions. With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary points to a car that owners enjoy and feel good about living with, which supports the idea that it can be dependable when maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk comes down to condition and prior care, so a clean history and solid maintenance records matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Mustang?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of hard use, deferred maintenance, or prior repairs. Pay close attention to overall condition, because a sporty car like this can vary widely depending on how it was driven and maintained. If possible, confirm that the specific car you’re considering matches the equipment and condition you expect before you commit.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,764 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 9.96% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 85.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,733, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $32,880 sits slightly above last year's $29,903.

That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy well and keep the car in good condition. A strong supply of listings gives buyers options now, but it also means future sellers will need to present a clean, well-kept example to stand out. Cars with desirable features and strong overall appeal tend to hold attention better when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 9.96% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,926, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $32,880 average.
• It adds a more modern cabin and updated tech.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better starting point if you want stronger value and more room to negotiate. If you’re price-sensitive, it’s the year to focus on first. If you want the newer cabin and tech upgrades, the 2024 is worth the extra money.
