Used 2023 Dodge Charger for Sale nearMcAllen, TX

How much does the 2023 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 13.69% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 3,390 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Charger earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. The car’s stylish design also comes through strongly in owner feedback, and many shoppers are drawn to its distinctive personality and features.

The trade-offs are clear: the Charger’s technology is dated, its fuel economy is poor, and the base engine is underwhelming. Even so, the overview frames it as a full-size sedan with a strong sense of occasion, which helps explain why it still appeals if you want something with attitude rather than a modern, efficiency-first sedan.

Good and great deals make up 28.2% of listings, so there is still some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels powerful, comfortable, and spacious, with many drivers describing it as a vehicle they enjoy living with over time. The review summary also suggests a strong sense of confidence in the car’s overall character, even if some shoppers worry about safety features and value.

On the road, the Charger’s powertrain is described as smooth and well matched to the car’s mission, with the transmission singled out for quick, clean shifts. That kind of mechanical polish helps support the impression that the car is built to deliver consistent performance rather than constant fuss.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related wear and dated tech can matter more here than in newer rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the individual car you’re considering has a clean past. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you want to confirm that the car’s aging cabin, electronics, and mechanical components have been maintained properly.

Focus on condition first: the Charger’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been cared for, since its age and feature set can make neglected examples feel tired quickly. If you’re comparing multiple listings, prioritize the one with the cleanest records and the most consistent maintenance history.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Charger is described as a bit drab on small skinny tires, while V8 versions look the part much more convincingly. The interior is dated across the range, with a small touchscreen and old-school controls, so higher trims add attitude more than modernity.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes either 292 or 300 horsepower depending on trim and is the only engine paired with all-wheel drive. The transmission is a highlight, and the V6 can return up to 30 mpg on the highway.
• Safety package: Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on SXT, GT, R/T, and Scatpack models and unavailable on Hellcats. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional only on GT, R/T, and Scatpacks.
• Infotainment: The Charger uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and SiriusXM. It does not get the latest Uconnect system, over-the-air updates, or phone-based starting.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 can deliver up to 30 mpg on the highway, while the V8 lineup is less efficient overall.

Which 2023 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Charger is offered in 1 trim level: Charger Swinger.

Here's the short version:

The Swinger is the standout if you want the most personality and the strongest performance character in this year’s lineup. It adds the widebody look, 20-inch wheels, flared fenders, and a more dramatic presence than the base car, while the cabin gets unique trim details and special badging. If you want the Charger at its most expressive, this is the one to target.

The safety package is limited on lower trims, with rear parking sensors and a backup camera standard and more advanced driver aids optional on select versions.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,390 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 13.69% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 76.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,145, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $34,269 sits slightly above last year's $30,143.

That price increase suggests the Charger has held buyer interest well, even as it moves deeper into final-year status. For a future seller, that kind of upward trend can help support stronger resale performance, especially if the car is clean and well maintained.

The market also shows meaningful demand in the used space, which matters when you eventually go to sell. A model with this much personality and a loyal following can stay desirable longer than a more ordinary sedan.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Charger earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard, but the camera is described as fuzzy.

The IIHS results are based on a different Chrysler 300 structure, so you should treat them cautiously when evaluating this car. The Charger does receive top “Good” marks in many IIHS categories, but the age of the platform and the limited standard safety equipment are worth keeping in mind.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 13.69% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The final-year status and special edition send-off make it especially appealing to enthusiasts.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,001, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,269 average.
• It offers traditional gas-powered performance with strong everyday usability.

The bottom line: Choose the 2023 if you want the strongest mix of final-year appeal, owner satisfaction, and market momentum. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path and still delivers the Charger’s core personality.
