Used 2023 Dodge Charger for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2023 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 13.27% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 3,355 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Charger earns a 4.5/5 user rating, and our experts rate it 7.8/10 overall.

The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. They also like the car’s aesthetic and features, which helps explain why it still appeals even with its age and limitations.

The trade-offs are clear: outdated technology and poor fuel economy are the biggest drawbacks, and the base engine is widely seen as underwhelming.

For you, that means the Charger makes the most sense if you want a full-size sedan with personality, strong presence, and a traditional muscle-car feel rather than a modern efficiency play.

Only 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the best examples may take some searching.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners also describe the Charger as powerful, comfortable, and spacious, with enough appeal that many are willing to live with its age and compromises. The expert evaluation reinforces that sense of durability in use, with a smooth-shifting automatic transmission and a powertrain setup that is built for long-haul, everyday driving.

The Charger’s long-term ownership risk is less about basic dependability and more about accepting aging technology and efficiency trade-offs over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check the cabin, electronics, and overall condition carefully. Because this model is known for its age and its mix of strengths and compromises, condition matters as much as mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Charger can feel drab, while V8 versions look and feel much more special. The Swinger adds widebody styling, flared fenders, 20-inch wheels, bronze wheels, black brake calipers, and distinctive retro-themed details, but it also carries the same dated interior layout.
• Powertrain: The standard 3.6-liter V6 makes 292 or 300 horsepower depending on trim and is the only engine paired with all-wheel drive. The eight-speed automatic is a strong point, and the V6 setup can return up to 30 mpg on the highway.
• Safety package: Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on SXT, GT, R/T, and Scatpack models and unavailable on Hellcats. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional only on GT, R/T, and Scatpack models.
• Infotainment: The Charger uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and SiriusXM. It does not get the latest Uconnect system, over-the-air updates, or phone-based starting.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 can deliver up to 30 mpg on the highway, while the V8 lineup is less efficient and the Hellcat models are especially thirsty.

Which 2023 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Charger is offered in 1 trim level: Charger Swinger.

Here's the short version:

The Swinger is the standout choice if you want the final-year Charger with the most personality and the strongest enthusiast appeal. It adds widebody hardware, distinctive styling, and a more special look and feel than the base car, while still delivering the Charger’s core muscle-car character. If you want the most memorable version of this model year, this is the one to target.

The safety-package note is simple: forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on SXT, GT, R/T, and Scatpack models and unavailable on Hellcats.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

You should act selectively, because this is still a seller’s market for the Charger.

• Deal availability: 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,355 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 13.27% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 76.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,173, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Charger’s resale value?

The current average of $34,176 sits slightly above last year's $30,172.

That price movement suggests the Charger has held buyer interest well, even as it moves deeper into final-year status. For a future seller, that’s a useful sign: demand appears to be supported by the car’s personality, performance reputation, and enthusiast appeal rather than by modernity or efficiency.

Because the Charger is a discontinued model with a strong following, well-kept examples should continue to attract attention from shoppers who want a traditional gas-powered sedan with attitude.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Charger earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and rollover, and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The Charger’s standard safety equipment is limited to rear parking sensors and a backup camera.

The main caveat is that the car’s safety tech is dated for its class, and the backup camera is described as fuzzy.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 13.27% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 is the Charger’s final model year, with special-edition sendoff appeal and strong enthusiast interest.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,032, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,176 average.
• It offers a big, old-school performance sedan experience with muscular proportions and traditional gas-powered character.

The bottom line: If you want the most collectible and emotionally compelling version, the 2023 is the better target. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 gives you much of the same Charger personality for less.
