Used 2023 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearVenice, FL

How much does the 2023 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices are up 3.08% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,514 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.81/5 user-rated car with an expert score of 7.17/10. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, fun driving experience, and modern tech features. They also call out the ample legroom and trunk space, which helps the Challenger work better as a daily driver than its muscle-car image might suggest.

The trade-offs are familiar for this model year: poor fuel economy, outdated technology, and advanced safety features that are not standard. That makes the Challenger best for you if you want a dramatic, old-school muscle car and can live with the compromises that come with it.

Good and great deals account for 31.6% of listings, so there’s still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.81/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels powerful, fun, and strong on value, which usually lines up with a vehicle people are happy to keep and recommend. The same feedback also highlights the Challenger’s modern tech features, suggesting the ownership experience feels more complete than the car’s retro styling might imply.

From the expert side, the Challenger is described as holding up remarkably well considering its age, with a ride and handling balance that exceeds expectations for a car this size. The overall impression is that it’s a durable-feeling muscle car, though its long-term ownership risk is tied more to running costs and the realities of a high-output performance car than to any single standout flaw.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, because a clean listing percentage doesn’t replace a proper record check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear, signs of hard driving, and whether the car’s condition matches its performance-oriented life. Pay extra attention to the features and equipment level, since this model year can vary a lot depending on trim and special-edition content.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Black Ghost adds exclusive retro styling, premium Laguna semi-aniline leather upholstery, simulated suede trim, and genuine carbon fiber accents, but the cabin still uses inexpensive plastic underneath. It also lacks much of the modern tech you’d expect in newer cars, so you should judge whether the special-edition look is worth the trade-off.
• Powertrain: The Black Ghost uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It delivers huge straight-line performance, but the car’s size makes it feel less composed than some rivals on narrow, twisty roads.
• Safety package: The Black Ghost includes a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable, so you should not expect a broad driver-assistance suite.
• Infotainment: The Black Ghost uses an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4 touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming audio, navigation, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. The interface is intuitive, but the system is showing its age.
• Fuel efficiency: The Challenger returns 15 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle averaged 15.7 mpg on a testing loop. That’s a clear reminder that this car is built for performance first.

Which 2023 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger is offered in 1 trim level: Black Ghost.

Here's the short version:

The Black Ghost is the one to buy if you want the most exclusive, most dramatic version of the 2023 Challenger and you’re comfortable paying for rarity and performance. It layers on special-edition styling, premium interior materials, and the most extreme powertrain content in the lineup, but it also comes with the same old-school compromises that define the car overall. If you want the best-value path, this is less about bargain hunting and more about deciding whether the Black Ghost’s limited-run character is worth the premium.

The safety package is limited, and advanced driver-assistance features are not standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,514 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.08% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 82.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,200, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $42,839 sits slightly above last year's $41,559.

That upward move suggests the market still places real value on this model year, especially given its final-year status and performance-focused appeal. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you may be able to benefit from that continued demand later.

The price range also matters for resale: a car bought near the low end has more room to hold value, while a higher-priced example needs stronger condition and equipment to justify its position. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.81/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger earns favorable ratings only in two outdated frontal- and side-impact tests from IIHS, and the NHTSA gives the car high marks but hasn’t updated its crash-test standards in over a decade.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety equipment on this version is limited. You get a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, but forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable.

That means you should treat safety as a weak point when shopping used. If safety tech matters a lot to you, this is a car where you’ll want to be especially selective about condition, equipment, and how you plan to use it.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.08% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.81/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year is the Challenger’s final year, and the expert summary highlights special-edition “Last Call” models plus the extreme 1,025-horsepower SRT Demon 170.

The bottom line: If you want the last and most emotionally compelling version of the Challenger, the 2023 is the one to target. It gives you the final-year sendoff, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still shows healthy demand. If you’re more price-sensitive, you should still shop carefully and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than stretching for a premium listing.
