How much does the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV cost?

Prices are up 1.67% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 412 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV a good car?

Yes — 4.71/5 owners rate it highly, and the expert rating is 6.83/10. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, impressive battery range, excellent value for money, and spacious interior. The tech is also a recurring plus, especially for buyers who want an easy-to-live-with EV with wireless smartphone integration.

The main trade-offs are that it is front-wheel drive only, some options are expensive, and the touchscreen can be a fingerprint magnet. That makes it a strong fit if you want an affordable EV with family-friendly usability rather than a sporty or premium-feeling crossover.

Good and great deals account for 38.1% of listings, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with repeated praise for comfort, value, and battery range. Reviewers also describe it as easy to live with over time, which is a good sign if you want an EV you can count on for routine commuting and family duty.

The driving impressions reinforce that sense of durability and consistency, with smooth acceleration and a composed ride that should suit everyday ownership well. Chevrolet also includes a dual-charge cord with 120-volt and 240-volt capability, which makes home charging more convenient.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery and charging system have been cared for properly, especially given the model’s history and the importance of EV-specific maintenance habits.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on battery condition, charging behavior, and any signs of uneven wear or repair history. For an EV like this, you also want to pay close attention to how the car has been charged and whether it has been used mostly for home charging or frequent fast charging.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Redline Edition appearance package adds black exterior badging, 17-inch gloss-black wheels, red trim, and black leather upholstery with red stitching. The cabin is clean and open, with a few physical controls for climate and audio volume, and the EUV’s extra wheelbase gives it more rear legroom than the Bolt EV.
• Powertrain: The Bolt EUV uses a single electric motor with front-wheel drive, 200 horsepower, and 266 pound-feet of torque. It feels lively around town, delivers smooth acceleration, and reaches 60 mph in 6.8 seconds.
• Safety package: The Chevy Safety Assist Package is standard and includes front pedestrian braking, forward collision alerts, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warnings, automatic high beams, and following distance indicators. Lower trims can add a Driver Confidence Package with rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change alerts, and rear cross-traffic alerts. Premier adds adaptive cruise, a surround-view camera system, and Super Cruise.
• Infotainment: The standard 10.2-inch touchscreen includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the system is paired with an 8-inch digital gauge cluster. The interface is also compatible with the MyChevrolet smartphone app.
• Range & charging: The 65-kWh battery delivers a 247-mile range. DC fast charging can recover up to 95 miles of range in 30 minutes, and the onboard charger is rated at 11.5 kW.
• Battery health: Check the battery state of health, ask how often the car has been DC fast charged, and confirm that home charging has been the norm when possible. You should also review how much of the battery warranty remains and make sure charging performance feels consistent during a test drive.

• Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 412 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.67% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,687, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV's resale value?

The current average of $21,244 sits slightly above last year's $20,895.

That modest increase suggests the market has held up reasonably well for this model year. If you buy well and keep the car in clean condition, you should have a decent chance of preserving value better than a vehicle with weaker demand.

The price trend also points to steady buyer interest rather than a sharp drop-off. For a future seller, that usually means you can expect a more predictable resale path as long as mileage, condition, and battery health remain strong.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV safe?

The 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV hasn’t been tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) yet.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Chevy Safety Assist Package comes standard and includes front pedestrian braking, forward collision alerts, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warnings, automatic high beams, and following distance indicators. Lower trims can add a Driver Confidence Package with rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change alerts, and rear cross-traffic alerts.

Premier adds adaptive cruise, a surround-view camera system, and Super Cruise. Super Cruise is the headline safety and driver-assistance feature here, but it requires you to stay attentive and ready to take over.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.67% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It benefits from Chevrolet’s significant 2023 price cut and the availability of Super Cruise in a relatively affordable EV.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $20,003, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $21,244 average.
• It adds a more SUV-like take on the Bolt formula and was the first non-Cadillac model with Super Cruise.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, features, and current-market availability, the 2023 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front and you’re comfortable with an older model year, the 2022 can still make sense as a lower-cost path into the same basic formula.
