Used 2023 BMW X5 for Sale nearFort Myers, FL

How much does the 2023 BMW X5 cost?

Prices have softened 14.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,524 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 BMW X5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.

The overview shows a luxury midsize SUV that still leans into BMW’s driving-focused identity, with a rear-wheel-drive platform, available inline-six or V8 power, and xDrive all-wheel drive. It also fits family use well thanks to two rows, seating for five, generous cargo space, and outstanding visibility, while remaining more road-oriented than off-road focused.

With 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview says newer X5s have improved reliability, which is encouraging if you want a used luxury SUV with a stronger ownership profile than older versions. Even so, the model can still be costly to own, especially if you choose a V8-powered example that is not fuel-efficient.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is higher running costs, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because even a strong accident-free share does not guarantee the specific vehicle you are considering has a clean past. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on higher-mileage or V8-equipped examples, and focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of costly wear.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,524 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.77% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,194, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X5's resale value?

The current average of $40,194 sits slightly below last year's $47,157.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a more favorable point, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the market holds up from here. If you plan to sell later, a well-kept example with strong documentation should be easier to position than one with unclear history or visible wear.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $50,740, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $40,194 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option with about 40 miles of electric-only range.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better value if you want the X5’s core strengths at a lower price, especially if you care about driving feel and family-friendly practicality. If you want the newer model’s plug-in hybrid efficiency and can stretch your budget, the 2024 is the better upgrade; otherwise, the 2023 is the smarter buy for price-sensitive shoppers.
