Used 2023 BMW X5 for Sale nearTampa, FL

How much does the 2023 BMW X5 cost?

Prices have softened 14.84% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,536 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 BMW X5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a luxury midsize SUV that blends comfort, performance, and everyday usability. The cabin is described as roomy, with outstanding visibility and generous cargo space, and the driving experience still leans into BMW’s performance-first character. That makes it a strong fit if you want a premium SUV that feels engaging without giving up practicality. The market also shows 35.9% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to reliability as unimpressive overall, so you should expect maintenance discipline to matter more than usual on the used market. Newer, properly maintained examples are the safer bet, especially if you want to reduce the odds of surprise repair costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is paying for deferred upkeep on a premium SUV that can become expensive to own if it has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report, especially if the vehicle has had multiple owners or any gaps in service records. A pre-purchase inspection matters here because upkeep and repairs can add up, so you want a mechanic to check for wear, leaks, and signs of deferred maintenance. Focus on overall condition, not just mileage, since a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the ownership experience you want.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,536 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.84% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $39,984, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X5's resale value?

The current average of $39,984 sits slightly below last year's $46,952.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, maintenance history, and how well the vehicle presents at trade-in time. If you keep the SUV clean, documented, and mechanically sound, you give yourself a better chance of holding demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $50,443, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $39,984 average.
• It adds plug-in hybrid range and a broader powertrain lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you are willing to spend more for the newer model's added efficiency and updated powertrain options, the 2024 is the better secondary path.
