In 2019, Audi entered the electric vehicle (EV) passenger-car fray with the e-tron electric crossover. It was to be the first of a lineup of electric cars and SUVs bearing the e-tron name. Standard driver assistance features on the e-tron GT include forward-collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and traffic assist, which can detect traffic coming from the left and right in an intersection. Available safety tech includes self-park assist, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree surround-view parking camera, and a traffic-jam assist that can follow a highway lane and stop and go with the flow of traffic.
