Used 2023 Acura TLX for Sale nearGrand Rapids, MI

How much does the 2023 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 1.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 575 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used TLX options to compare.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Acura TLX earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

The TLX fits you well if you want a luxury sports sedan with style and driving enjoyment, since the overview highlights its strong road presence and engaging personality. The expert notes back that up with stylish design, fun-to-drive character, and a comfortable ride.

The trade-offs are real, though: poor ergonomic design, a cramped back seat, and not much cargo space. If you want a sedan that prioritizes comfort and a sporty feel over maximum practicality, the TLX makes sense; if you need more room, you may want to look elsewhere.

The market looks reasonably healthy, with 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX’s overview points to a car that balances style and driving enjoyment, while the expert notes reinforce that it delivers a comfortable ride and strong performance character. The performance notes also describe the turbocharged setup as responsive and enjoyable, with software designed to limit unwanted transmission shifts when you drive enthusiastically.

Acura also includes two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which helps reduce early ownership costs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the TLX’s sporty packaging comes with some practicality and usability compromises, so condition and maintenance history matter.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been driven hard or shows signs of curb rash, scraping, or interior wear. Focus on how well the cabin controls, infotainment, and driving aids work in real use, since the TLX’s layout can be distracting and its packaging is tight.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model emphasizes the TLX’s stylish design and comfortable ride, but it also comes with the most limited equipment set. Higher trims add more convenience and luxury features, while the Type S brings the most performance-focused hardware and also includes rain-sensing wipers and a wiper de-icer system.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 272 horsepower and a 10-speed automatic. The Type S adds a turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 355 hp and performance upgrades that make it the sportiest version.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with low-speed following, and Traffic Jam Assist. Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors are included on every TLX except the base model.
• Infotainment: The TLX uses a 10.2-inch display with the True Touchpad Interface rather than a touchscreen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and AcuraLink connected services are standard, but wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not supported.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard turbo four-cylinder is rated at 24 mpg to 25 mpg in combined driving, while the Type S is estimated at 21 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: Base, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, Advance Package.

Here's the short version:

• Base: This is the entry point if you want the TLX’s style and driving character at the lowest price, but it also leaves out some of the convenience and safety upgrades found higher up the range.
• Technology Package: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds useful equipment without pushing the TLX into the highest price brackets.
• A-Spec Package: Choose this if you want a more distinctive look and the option of SH-AWD, since it sits between the more comfort-focused trims and the top-end models.
• Advance Package: Pick this if you want the most upscale, comfort-oriented TLX setup, along with the added safety and convenience equipment that comes with the upper end of the lineup.

Choose any TLX except the base model, and you’ll also get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Acura TLX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 575 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,215, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $34,444 sits slightly below last year's $35,034.

That softer pricing suggests the TLX has already moved through some of its recent depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. If you buy at or below the current average, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell.

The TLX’s appeal as a stylish, fun-to-drive luxury sedan should help it hold interest among shoppers who want something different from the usual German alternatives. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX safe?

The 2023 TLX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA, including five-star rollover resistance and a four-star rating for the front passenger in a frontal-impact collision.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard, and it bundles forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with low-speed following, and Traffic Jam Assist. If you move above the base model, you also get blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.

The main caveat is that the front passenger frontal-impact result is lower than the rest of the NHTSA results, so that’s worth keeping in mind if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2023 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 TLX combines stylish design with a comfortable ride and strong performance, while still asking you to accept some practicality tradeoffs.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,300, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,444 average.
• It offers strong road presence and genuine performance capability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,129, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $34,444 average.
• It adds a new grille and bigger screens while keeping the same performance-focused formula.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, style, and driving enjoyment, the 2023 is the primary target. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the smarter value play; if you want the newer look and updated screens, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
