Used 2023 Acura TLX for Sale nearEl Paso, TX

How much does the 2023 Acura TLX cost?

Prices have softened 1.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 566 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Acura TLX earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

The TLX’s appeal is strongest if you want a luxury sports sedan that emphasizes style, comfort, and driving enjoyment. Acura’s own assessment points to a sweet spot in the segment, and the car’s design and ride quality support that positioning.

The main trade-offs are poor ergonomic design and limited rear-seat and cargo space, so it works best if you care more about the front-seat experience than family-hauling practicality. Even so, the market shows 32.9% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The TLX’s reliability case is helped by its established powertrain lineup and the fact that Acura frames it as a well-rounded luxury sports sedan rather than a complicated niche model. The expert evaluation also describes the car as a compelling blend of style, performance, equipment, and value, which is a good sign for ownership confidence.

The performance notes point to a car that is enjoyable and generally well sorted in daily driving, even if some controls and brake behavior can feel less natural in spirited use. Acura also includes two years or 24,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance, which can reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the biggest long-term risk is less about mechanical drama and more about living with the car’s awkward ergonomics and tight packaging over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Acura TLX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the car’s controls, cabin condition, and any signs of curb or front-end contact. The TLX’s low nose and tight packaging make condition especially important if you want to avoid surprises.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base and Technology models come only with FWD, while the Advance and Type S models come only with SH-AWD. The Type S adds a sportier setup, but the base model misses the blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors that you get on higher trims.
• Powertrain: Most versions use a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 272 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic. The Type S upgrades to a turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 355 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque, plus SH-AWD and performance hardware.
• Safety package: AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with low-speed following, and Traffic Jam Assist. Higher trims add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 10.2-inch display with the True Touchpad Interface, plus Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a three-year AcuraLink subscription. Wireless smartphone charging, navigation, and premium audio vary by trim, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not supported.
• Fuel efficiency: Most versions should return between 24 mpg and 25 mpg in combined driving. The Type S is estimated at 21 mpg combined and averaged 20 mpg during evaluation.

Which 2023 Acura TLX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Acura TLX is offered in 4 trim levels: base TLX, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, and Advance Package.

Here's the short version:

• base TLX: This is the entry point if you want the lowest price and the core TLX experience, but it is also the most stripped-down version in terms of convenience and safety equipment.
• Technology Package: This is the best-value trim if you want a more complete luxury setup without jumping too far up the price ladder. It adds useful equipment while staying focused on the TLX’s core strengths.
• A-Spec Package: Choose this if you want a more distinctive look and the option of SH-AWD, since it is the only trim that offers a choice between FWD and SH-AWD.
• Advance Package: This is the most comfort- and convenience-oriented standard TLX trim, and it is the one to target if you want the most upscale everyday experience.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, but the base model misses some helpful extras that appear on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Acura TLX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 566 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,251, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Acura TLX's resale value?

The current average of $35,047 sits slightly below last year's $35,576.

That softer pricing suggests the TLX has moved into a more buyer-friendly part of the market, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, it means you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim rather than assuming the car will hold a premium automatically.

The year-round range is fairly tight, which also suggests the market has a clear sense of what this car is worth. If you keep the car clean, well maintained, and well documented, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Acura TLX safe?

The 2023 TLX earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS and a five-star overall crash-test rating from NHTSA, including five-star rollover resistance and four-star ratings for the front passenger in frontal impact.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

AcuraWatch is standard and includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centering assist, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control with low-speed following, and Traffic Jam Assist. Higher trims add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors.

The main caveat is that the Type S does not include the head-up display or surround-view camera found on the Advance trim, and the lane-keeping systems can occasionally be less confident over rough pavement or in low sun.

Should I buy a 2023 Acura TLX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 combines stylish design, fun-to-drive character, and a comfortable ride.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $32,302, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $35,047 average.
• It offers the same design-focused TLX formula with strong road presence and performance.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,888, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,047 average.
• It adds a new grille and bigger screens while keeping the same chassis and powertrains.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, style, and driving enjoyment, the 2023 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play. If you want the newer look and updated screens, the 2024 is worth the extra cost.
