The 2022 Volvo S60 stands out as a compact luxury sedan that blends Scandinavian style, strong safety credentials, and a cabin that puts comfort first. Volvo’s top-down design approach gave even base models a panoramic moonroof and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, while the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 9-inch tablet-style touchscreen helped the interior feel modern and easy to use. The seats are a major part of the appeal, and the optional Contour seats borrowed from the flagship S90 are a notable highlight. Buyers also had access to high-end audio from Harman Kardon or Bowers and Wilkins, reinforcing the S60’s upscale character.

Safety remained a core strength, with City Safety standard on every S60, and the model had already earned IIHS Top Safety Pick+ recognition in both 2021 and 2022. Buyers could also add the Technology Package for Pilot Assist features such as adaptive radar cruise control, lane-keep assist, a 360-degree camera, and adaptive LED headlamps.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Volvo S60?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and any warning lights or drivability issues. Because this model year can involve complex hybrid hardware, pay close attention to overall condition, maintenance records, and whether the car has been serviced consistently.

What is the 2022 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $23,436 sits slightly below last year's $25,969.

That price movement suggests the S60 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you as a buyer today. If you plan to sell later, the current market level gives you a clearer baseline for estimating future value, but resale will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and service history. A well-kept example should hold up better than one with incomplete records or visible wear.
