Used 2022 Toyota Venza for Sale nearPittsburgh, PA

How much does the 2022 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have softened 3.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

With 780 listings available, you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Toyota Venza earns a 4.71/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, quiet ride, and fuel efficiency, and many also like its upscale, Lexus-like cabin feel and smooth driving experience. The Venza’s distinctive design is another recurring strength, especially if you want something that looks and feels less conventional than a typical midsize SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: technology can feel unintuitive, and cargo space is limited. It also suits you best if you value efficiency, refinement, and standard all-wheel drive more than maximum utility or a more traditional SUV shape.

With 37.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort, efficiency, and everyday ease of use. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the hybrid setup is transparent in operation and requires no special attention, which supports the case for low-stress ownership.

Toyota’s shared-platform approach also suggests long-term viability and easier service support. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the powertrain and more about finding a well-kept example with the features and condition you want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because accident-free listings are strong but not universal. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the hybrid system, electronics, and overall cabin condition. It also makes sense to pay close attention to cargo-area wear and whether the trim level has the equipment you expect.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The LE and XLE come with an eight-inch touchscreen, while the Limited gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a nine-speaker JBL audio system; the Limited also adds a head-up display package and rain-sensing wipers, while the base trim uses a 5-inch instrument cluster display.
• Powertrain: The Venza uses a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine with three electric motors for 219 horsepower combined, plus a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist; blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all trims, while front and rear parking assist with automated braking is limited to XLE and Limited.
• Infotainment: The LE and XLE use an eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and Toyota Connected Services; the Limited upgrades to a 12.3-inch touchscreen.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates up to 40 mpg city, 37 highway, and 39 combined, and the hybrid setup is designed to avoid charging concerns while still delivering well over 500 miles of range from a tank of gas.

Which 2022 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2022 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Venza formula: hybrid efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0, blind-spot monitoring, an eight-inch touchscreen, and the same upscale design and comfort that define the model. It is the best-value choice if you want the Venza experience without paying for extras you may not need.
• XLE: This trim adds more convenience and safety hardware, including front and rear parking assist with automated braking, plus a larger 7-inch instrument cluster display. It makes sense if you want a more complete daily-driver setup without jumping all the way to the top trim.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich version, with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL audio, navigation, and available advanced tech features like the head-up display package. Choose it if you want the most premium Venza experience and are willing to pay for it.

XLE and Limited models get front and rear parking assist with automated braking, while Limited adds fog lamps for better visibility.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Toyota Venza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 780 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,405, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $28,677 sits slightly below last year's $29,764.

That softer pricing suggests the Venza is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago, which can help you enter ownership at a better value. For a future seller, the same trend means you should expect a market that rewards condition, mileage, and feature content more than simple age alone.

Because the Venza has strong efficiency, standard all-wheel drive, and broad owner satisfaction, it should remain appealing to shoppers who want a refined hybrid crossover. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment are likely to hold demand better than neglected or sparsely equipped ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Toyota Venza safe?

The 2022 Toyota Venza earns a Top Safety Pick rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and five-star ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, daytime bicycle detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, and road-sign assist. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is also standard across the lineup.

The main safety caveat is that front and rear parking assist with automated braking is reserved for XLE and Limited trims, so the base LE misses some convenience-oriented protection features.

Should I buy a 2022 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines standard hybrid efficiency with standard all-wheel drive and a refined, upscale feel.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,966, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,677 average.
• It offers a more upscale-feeling hybrid crossover with standard AWD.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $33,109, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,677 average.
• It sharpens the styling and keeps the fuel-efficient, luxury-leaning character.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the sweet spot if you want the Venza’s standard hybrid setup, standard all-wheel drive, and strong safety credentials without paying newer-model pricing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want a newer take and don’t mind spending more, the 2023 is the upgrade path.
