Why it stands out
The 2022 Toyota 4Runner maintains its rugged SUV heritage, delivering excellent off-road capability fused with robust utility. Unlike many modern crossovers, the 4Runner sticks to its truck-based roots, offering a 4.0-liter V6 engine that produces 270 horsepower. This model's high ride height, durable construction, and formidable approach angles highlight its outdoor adventure potential. Although some may find its performance sluggish compared to cars in its class, the 4Runner shines when venturing off the beaten path, absorbing rugged terrain with ease. Owners appreciate its reliability and comfort, though critiques often focus on its outdated interior and subpar fuel economy. With models like the TRD Pro enhancing its off-road features, the 2022 Toyota 4Runner remains a notable choice for those who prioritize adventure over everyday comforts.

This is the best car ever made in my opinion. It drives well, is tough as nails, and is always ready for any adventure. We take it off-roading and it drives like a dream off-road. It also looks really cool, and I get many compliments when I am out in public. I hope to keep this car for 20-30 years, and with Toyota’s reputation, I think it will make it that long. You honestly cannot go wrong with this car, it’s the best!

The Toyota 4Runner Limited is an awesome vehicle. It has all the safety features you could want. It drives better than any other 4Runner I’ve had. I won’t be driving anything else ever. This is my fourth 4Runner.

This vehicle is fantastic! However, the TRD Pro is not for folks that want a luxurious SUV. This is a rugged SUV. It is spacious and the seats are super comfortable. Its a medium sized SUV that drives like a body on frame truck and can be legit used on trails. Now that it has the blind spot monitor and 360 birds eye view, as well as front and side view cameras, its got it all! Pedal Commander takes care of the sluggishness. ;)
