Should I buy a 2022 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 28.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.27% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.29/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 Model S makes the most sense if you want a used Tesla with strong owner satisfaction, solid inventory, and a price point that still looks manageable relative to the market. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2022 is the better primary target when you want a balanced mix of demand, condition, and buyer confidence.
