Why it stands out
The 2022 Porsche 911 remains a quintessential choice for sports car enthusiasts, famed for its balanced blend of high-performance capabilities and everyday drivability. Not only does it boast an iconic silhouette that captivates onlookers, but it also features a powerful 3.0-liter turbocharged boxer-six engine that outputs 379 horsepower, with higher trims like the Carrera S delivering even more. Porsche's dedication to engineering excellence is evident in the car's impressive handling, responsive steering, and exhilarating acceleration, allowing it to reach 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds for some variants, like the GTS.
Drivers appreciate the luxurious interior that doesn't compromise on comfort, largely fashioned with high-quality materials, making it suitable for long drives or daily commuting. While it is known for being a driver’s car, the 2022 model incorporates advanced technology such as wireless Apple CarPlay, although Android Auto requires a USB connection. Despite the few shortcomings, like limited rear-seat space and relatively high prices, the 2022 Porsche 911 continues to set the benchmark for what a luxury sports car should be.

This is my dream car. It has the highest power and speed capabilities in the 911 line up but still great and comfortable for long drives or everyday trips to the market. I drove a 911 Carrera for many years so I was a little surprised it’s so much heavier than the Carrera, about 300lbs more. But it’s also double the horsepower. Needless to say I’m ecstatic to own a 911 Turbo S.
