Used 2022 Nissan Murano for Sale near Trenton, NJ
The Murano has been a mainstay in Nissan’s SUV lineup for two decades now, and during that time, it has evolved from a somewhat frumpy two-row family-hauler into a sharply styled tech-packed sub-luxury vehicle. Nissan gave the SUV a couple of notable updates for 2022, including a new Midnight Edition package with blacked-out exterior trim and 20-inch wheels. The SV trim also got a couple of new features, including synthetic leather upholstery and heated front seats.
The 2022 Murano is available in four trims: S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Pricing ranges from around $35,000 for the base S trim to more than $46,000 for the range-topping Platinum model. The Murano competes against the Honda Passport, Hyundai Santa Fe, Jeep Grand Cherokee two-row, and Ford Edge. It’s one of the older designs in its segment, especially compared to the brand-new Grand Cherokee and the plush Hyundai Santa Fe, but Nissan has made enough improvements and added enough tech over the years to keep the Murano relevant.
All 2022 Muranos come with a 3.5-liter V6 making 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and front- or all-wheel drive (FWD or AWD). The powertrain delivers decent torque and acceleration, but many will be annoyed to find that the CVT causes the engine to drone under heavy throttle. At the same time, the Murano’s engine noise all but disappears at highway speeds, making it a surprisingly relaxing road trip cruiser.
If towing is a priority, look elsewhere. The Murano manages a tow rating of just 1,500 pounds. Its suspension is tuned more for comfort than handling and performance, but the result is a comfy ride, even over broken and uneven surfaces. There’s little to be had in the way of sporty handling, but the Murano can hold its own when the going gets curvy.
Despite its age, the Murano offers one of the plusher and better-equipped cabins in its class. There’s seating for five, and soft cloth upholstery comes standard. Nissan offers leatherette in the SV trim, leather in the SL, and semi-aniline leather with diamond quilting in the top Platinum trim. Nissan’s fantastic Zero Gravity seats come in all models, bringing excellent support, padding, and adjustability.
The Murano comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Platinum trim adds navigation, voice recognition, SiriusXM, and connected app services. All models get Bluetooth, Siri Eyes Free, USB-A and USB-C ports, and an auxiliary input. The SL and Platinum trims add a Bose 11-speaker premium audio system.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the 2022 Murano a Top Safety Pick+, its highest rating. The SUV earned “Good” scores in most crash test areas, except for the new side crash test, where it picked up a “Marginal” score. All advanced driver aids come standard, including hill-start assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-departure warnings, forward-collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and rear automatic braking.

(3 reviews)The car is great! Its spacious interior make it easy fit what/who you need in it, the sporty exterior makes it look eye catching!
Very roomy front seating. I am 6 feet 5 inches, and finding a vehicle that has enough leg room is tough, but the Murano has more than even I need. Seats are wide and comfortable, and itis a pleasure to drive. This was a great purchase decision.
I was looking for a mid size SUV for my wife. We found the Murano Platinum perfect. Better reliability than a Mercedes and in my opinion road far better. The Nissan Murano is made in Mississippi and was running a rebate. Not like other imports that are jacked up above MSRP. Nissan hasn’t hit the Murano with their new updates but I am fearful that when they do we will lose that awesome V6 for some short lived turbo.
