Used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander for Sale nearAmarillo, TX

How much does the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander cost?

Prices have softened 11.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,167 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Technology.

Drivers consistently praise the smooth drive, advanced features, and stylish look. The Outlander also stands out for its comfortable ride and strong warranty coverage, which help support its value proposition.

The trade-offs are clear: performance is sluggish, the third row is cramped, and voice recognition does not work great at speed. That makes it a better fit if you want a mainstream SUV with a more modern feel and strong value, rather than one that prioritizes quick acceleration or maximum family-space flexibility.

Good and great deals account for 35.8% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the smooth drive and advanced features as reasons they feel good about the vehicle over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the Outlander’s strong warranty coverage and free roadside assistance, which add confidence for long-term ownership.

The powertrain warranty and free roadside assistance help reduce ownership risk, but you should still pay close attention to condition and maintenance history on any used example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional equipment. Focus on how the SUV drives, since the ride, steering, and acceleration are the areas most likely to shape your day-to-day satisfaction.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Outlander is offered in ES, SE, SE Launch Edition, SEL, and SEL Launch Edition trim levels. The higher trims add more upscale equipment, and the SEL with the Touring Package brings premium semi-aniline leather, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a premium sound system, rear-window sunshades, and a panoramic glass sunroof.
• Powertrain: The 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine makes 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, paired with a CVT. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is available through Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control system.
• Safety package: Mi-Pilot Assist is the named driver-assistance system, and it works with commendable refinement, smoothness, and accuracy. The Outlander also includes forward collision avoidance, safe reversing, lane-keeping assistance, and blind-spot warning. You must keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times, and the steering-assistance systems can feel intrusive when Mi-Pilot Assist is not active.
• Infotainment: The available 9-inch touchscreen includes stereo volume and tuning knobs, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and a free two-year subscription to Mitsubishi Connect Safeguard and Remote service plans. Wireless smartphone charging is standard with the 9-inch Smartphone-link infotainment system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Outlander returned 24.9 mpg on the test route, and the official fuel-economy rating for AWD models is 26 mpg.

Which 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is offered in 5 trim levels: ES, SE, SE Launch Edition, SEL, and SEL Launch Edition.

Here's the short version:

• ES: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the redesigned Outlander and are comfortable keeping things simple.
• SE: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more equipment without pushing you all the way to the top of the range.
• SE Launch Edition: Choose this if you want a more feature-rich SE-based setup and the added appeal of the launch-edition package.
• SEL: This is the trim to target if you want the richer interior feel and the strongest mix of comfort and technology.
• SEL Launch Edition: Pick this if you want the SEL experience with the added launch-edition treatment and are willing to pay for it.

Safety content highlights Mi-Pilot Assist and the broader driver-assistance suite, but you should still pay attention to how the steering-assistance systems feel during your test drive.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,167 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,179, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

The current average of $19,179 sits slightly below last year's $21,780.

That price movement suggests the Outlander has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you shop carefully now, you may have less downside left than a buyer who paid closer to the original market peak.

Strong owner satisfaction can also support demand later, especially for shoppers who value the Outlander’s warranty, technology, and comfort. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander includes Mi-Pilot Assist, a hands-on Level 2 driver-assistance system that works with commendable refinement, smoothness, and accuracy.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety suite also includes forward collision avoidance, safe reversing, lane-keeping assistance, and blind-spot warning. One thing to watch is that the steering-assistance systems can feel intrusive when Mi-Pilot Assist is not active, and you have to use the touchscreen menu to turn them off.

Should I buy a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 stands out for its redesigned look, strong technology, comfortable ride, and great warranty.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned Outlander with strong tech, a comfortable ride, and a compelling value story, the 2022 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully and look for a well-kept example with a clean history, but the 2022 already offers a good mix of features and market softness.
