Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS for Sale nearOklahoma City, OK

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

Prices have softened 15.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 867 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating, you’re looking at a model year that lands well with shoppers and our test-drive team alike. The 2022 GLS is positioned as Mercedes’ flagship SUV, and the overview emphasizes its size, luxury, and practicality as a three-row utility vehicle. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

The test-drive feedback backs that up with praise for its stylish design, powerful engine, and spacious cabin. The trade-offs are real, though: poor ride quality and poor ergonomic design are both called out, and advanced safety features are not standard.

For a buyer who wants a full-size luxury SUV with real passenger and cargo utility, the 2022 GLS fits the brief well. The market also shows 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes the 2022 GLS as a flagship utility vehicle with everyday usefulness, and the expert feedback supports that with a strong, smooth inline-six powertrain and standard air suspension. The performance notes also say the six-cylinder engine provides more than enough muscle for this big SUV, while the mild-hybrid assist is blended in nicely.

Mercedes’ cost-effectiveness notes add that the GLS comes with a four-year, 50,000-mile basic warranty and a four-year, 50,000-mile powertrain warranty. That helps reduce early ownership risk, but the model’s size, complexity, and optional equipment can still make used ownership more expensive if you need repairs or maintenance outside warranty coverage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if it looks clean on paper. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a large luxury SUV like this, where suspension, electronics, and interior wear can matter a lot. Focus on overall condition, because the GLS is meant to deliver flagship comfort and utility, and neglected examples can be costly to bring back up to standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: In base GLS 450 form, the cabin is described as fairly basic by GLS standards, and the test car lacked reclining seats. Even so, it still felt properly luxurious thanks to leather upholstery, a panoramic roof, ambient lighting, and a high-quality interior presentation.
• Powertrain: The GLS 450 uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine with a nine-speed automatic and EQ Boost mild-hybrid assistance. It makes 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, with an additional 21 hp and 184 lb-ft available in short bursts.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a driver-attention monitor, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, a surround-view camera system, Crosswind Assist, parking assist, and Pre Safe. Adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, second-row side airbags, and more advanced driver-assistance features cost extra.
• Infotainment: The standard MBUX setup includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, and natural-language voice recognition.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA ratings are 20 mpg combined (18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway).

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS is offered in 1 trim level: GLS 450 4Matic.

Here's the short version:

The GLS 450 4Matic is the only standard gas-model choice for this year, so your decision is less about trim shopping and more about finding the right example. It brings the core GLS experience: a strong inline-six, standard AWD, air suspension, a surround-view camera system, and a well-appointed luxury cabin. It’s the best-value choice by default because there isn’t a broader trim ladder to climb for the 2022 model year.

Mercedes says some advanced safety features remain optional, so check carefully for adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and second-row side airbags if those matter to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to shop around but still enough demand to reward quick action on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 867 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,509, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $46,509 sits slightly below last year's $54,850.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than model-year timing alone.

Because the GLS is a flagship luxury SUV with strong utility and broad appeal, well-kept examples should remain attractive to shoppers who want space and prestige in one package. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS safe?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS does not have published IIHS or NHTSA crash-test ratings in the available data.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a driver-attention monitor, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring, a surround-view camera system, Crosswind Assist, parking assist, and Pre Safe. Mercedes also includes a feature that can warn if it’s unsafe to open a door when parked.

The main caveat is that several advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and second-row side airbags. That means you should check the equipment list carefully if safety tech is a priority for you.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The year stands out for being simplified to the base six-cylinder GLS 450 4Matic, while still delivering flagship-size luxury and practicality.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $45,941, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $46,509 average.
• The 2021 emphasizes S-Class-style refinement in a spacious three-row package.

The bottom line: If you want the simplest path into a 2022 GLS, this year makes sense because it still delivers the flagship SUV experience with strong satisfaction and a softer price trend. If you’re focused mainly on saving money, the 2021 is the better value play, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
