How much does the 2022 Lincoln Navigator cost?

Prices have softened 15.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,111 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 8.17/10. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

The 2022 Navigator is positioned as a full-size luxury SUV with classically elegant styling, robust towing capacity, and soothing comfort in all three rows of seats. It also brings a refreshed design, updated technology, and improved driving dynamics that help keep it competitive against newer rivals.

The trade-offs are that the grille design may not appeal to you, the interior chrome can feel excessive, and the voice recognition system still needs fine-tuning.

With 40.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Navigator’s reliability case is helped by its robust powertrain, comfortable ride, and updated suspension tuning. The twin-turbo V6 delivers strong output, and the revised brake booster and Road Preview suspension tech suggest Lincoln focused on improving everyday drivability.

Lincoln also says the system supports over-the-air updates, which can help refine features over time. The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that this is a large luxury SUV with complex technology, so you’ll want to be sure everything works as intended before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage doesn’t replace a proper records review. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the electronics, driver-assistance features, and interior condition, since this model leans heavily on technology and luxury appointments. Pay close attention to how the cabin materials, screens, and voice controls function in real-world use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label are the trims explicitly named here, and the base setup already includes a lot of luxury content. The higher trims are where you’ll want to look for the richer materials and added equipment that make the Navigator feel more special.
• Powertrain: The twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission and comes with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It delivers strong output and impressive towing capability, so this is the area to focus on if you want capability as well as comfort.
• Safety package: The suite includes Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system. Some of these features are newly standard, while others are part of the Navigator’s advanced driver-assistance story.
• Infotainment: You get a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, wireless-style smartphone integration through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and over-the-air update capability. The larger screen and updated interface are major improvements, so make sure the system responds properly.
• Fuel efficiency: The Navigator 4WD should return 18 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2022 Lincoln Navigator trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the Navigator’s core luxury-SUV formula, including the updated tech and safety content that define this model year. It makes sense if you want the Navigator experience without stretching to the highest-priced versions.
• Reserve: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it sits in the middle and should give you the most balanced mix of luxury and equipment. If you want the sweet spot between price and features, this is the trim to focus on.
• Black Label: This is the most upscale version and is the one to choose if you want the richest presentation and the most premium feel. It suits you best if you’re shopping for maximum luxury and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package includes Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

The market leans in your favor right now, with solid deal availability and a meaningful price drop from last year.

• Deal availability: 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,111 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.88% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,843, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator's resale value?

The current average of $47,843 sits slightly below last year's $56,878.

That price movement suggests the Navigator has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you shop carefully now, you may have less downside risk than a buyer who paid closer to last year’s average.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator safe?

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety suite includes Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system. ActiveGlide is Lincoln’s hands-free driving technology for approved highways, while the other systems add braking, steering, and parking support.

A key caveat is that some of these systems are assistance tools, not substitutes for your attention, and the hands-free feature still requires you to stay engaged.

Should I buy a 2022 Lincoln Navigator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The facelift revived the aging SUV and kept it competitive against newer rivals.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,049, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $47,843 average.
• It feels like a luxury apartment with a quiet cabin and premium materials.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $55,587, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $47,843 average.
• It emphasizes spacious third-row comfort and impressive technology.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want the refreshed design, updated tech, and stronger safety story without paying more for the next model year. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the value play; if you want the newer-year premium and can spend more, the 2023 is the alternative to compare.
