Used 2022 Lincoln Navigator for Sale nearBirmingham, AL

How much does the 2022 Lincoln Navigator cost?

Prices have softened 16.28% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,082 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 5/5 user-rated SUV with an expert rating of 8.2/10. The 2022 Navigator is positioned as Lincoln’s flagship SUV, and it leans into classically elegant styling, robust towing capacity, and soothing comfort in all three rows. Lincoln also refreshed the SUV’s styling, comfort, technology, safety, and driving dynamics for this model year, which helps keep it competitive against newer rivals.

The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10. The trade-offs are that the grille may not suit your taste, the interior chrome can feel excessive, and the voice recognition system needs fine-tuning. If you want a large luxury SUV that emphasizes comfort, capability, and a refreshed presence, this one fits that brief well.

36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The Navigator’s appeal is reinforced by its strong engine, comfortable cabin, and updated technology, while the expert review also highlights its quiet-luxury character and strong capability. Its updated systems and improved driving dynamics help it feel more polished than the previous model year.

The performance notes also point to a robust twin-turbo V6, a 10-speed automatic, and available 4WD, along with a suspension that helps smooth out rough pavement. Lincoln’s ownership perks include valet service when it’s time for maintenance, which adds a little convenience to the ownership experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large luxury SUV can be expensive to keep in top shape, so condition and service history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage doesn’t replace documentation. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the suspension, electronics, and interior condition, since those are the areas where a luxury SUV’s age and use can show up first. It’s also smart to confirm that the tech features work as intended, especially if the vehicle has been heavily optioned.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label are the trims explicitly called out here, and the base setup already brings a strong luxury feel with updated styling, a 20-inch wheel design, and a larger touchscreen. Higher trims add more upscale presentation and equipment, so the best value depends on how much you care about premium materials and extra convenience features.
• Powertrain: You get a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with a 10-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. It delivers 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, plus strong towing capability and a combined fuel-economy figure of 18 mpg for 4WD.
• Safety package: The Navigator adds Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system. ActiveGlide is Lincoln’s hands-free driving tech for approved highways, while the other systems help with braking, lane-edge awareness, and parking.
• Infotainment: The 2022 model gets a 13.2-inch touchscreen with Sync 4, wireless-style smartphone support through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and over-the-air update capability. The system also supports split-screen viewing for navigation and music details.
• Fuel efficiency: The Navigator 4WD should return 18 mpg in combined driving, and the review notes that this is not a cost-effective SUV to run.

Which 2022 Lincoln Navigator trim should I buy?

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator is offered in 3 trim levels: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label.

Here's the short version:

• Standard: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the refreshed styling, the new 13.2-inch Sync 4 touchscreen, and the core luxury-SUV experience. If you want the Navigator’s comfort and capability without chasing every extra feature, this is the trim to start with.
• Reserve: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it should give you a more upscale experience without jumping all the way to the top. If you want a stronger luxury feel and expect to keep the SUV for a while, this is the trim to focus on first.
• Black Label: This is the most indulgent version, and the review’s test vehicle shows how far Lincoln can push the cabin with theme-specific presentation and high-end amenities. Choose this if you want the most premium Navigator experience and are willing to pay for it.

The safety package includes Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Lincoln Navigator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,082 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.28% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $46,544, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator's resale value?

The current average of $46,544 sits slightly below last year's $55,598.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the current softness means you’ll want to protect value by keeping mileage reasonable and maintenance records complete. Well-kept examples should still draw interest because the Navigator’s luxury positioning and strong capability remain part of its appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Lincoln Navigator safe?

The 2022 Lincoln Navigator earns Good ratings from IIHS and five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Several new driver-assistance systems debut on the 2022 Lincoln Navigator. They include Intersection Assist, Road Edge Detection, Active Park Assist 2.0, and ActiveGlide, and a surround-view camera system is newly standard. ActiveGlide is Lincoln’s hands-free highway-driving technology, but you still need to stay attentive the entire time.

The review also notes that some of these systems are impressive in practice, especially Active Park Assist 2.0 and ActiveGlide within their operating limits. Even so, the driver-assistance tech is not a substitute for active supervision.

Should I buy a 2022 Lincoln Navigator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.28% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 refresh updates styling, comfort, technology, safety, and driving dynamics.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,488, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $46,544 average.
• It feels like a luxury apartment with a quiet cabin and a powerful engine.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $54,412, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $46,544 average.
• It emphasizes spacious third-row room, strong capability, and impressive technology.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of updated features and current-market pricing, the 2022 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play. If you want a newer-feeling Navigator and don’t mind paying more, the 2023 is worth a look.
