How much does the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover cost?

Prices have softened 10.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,295 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

The 2022 Range Rover leans into premium luxury with a simpler interior design, richer materials, and a more modern tech setup than the previous generation. It is a compelling starting point if you want a large luxury SUV that also brings genuine off-road capability.

The main trade-offs are poor fuel economy and not much cargo space, so it fits you best if comfort, refinement, and presence matter more than maximum practicality. Good and great deals account for 33.4% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Range Rover’s appeal is built around refinement, premium materials, and a calm driving experience, and the expert review also highlights its solid feel and quiet cabin. Its powertrains are described as smooth and effortless, which supports the impression of a well-sorted luxury SUV.

The performance notes also point to a composed ride and easy maneuverability, while the tech and safety equipment performed as intended during testing. For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that a vehicle this complex and upscale can be costly to keep in top shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the cabin electronics, ride quality, and any signs of heavy use. Since this model is positioned as a premium luxury SUV, condition matters a lot when you compare similarly priced listings.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The interior is simplified with fewer buttons and knobs, and the larger touchscreen gives the cabin a more modern look. Base versions still feel premium, but you should compare equipment carefully if you want the richest materials and the most advanced tech.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder mild hybrid and a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8. The six-cylinder is smooth and adequate for most drivers, while the V8 adds more output if you want stronger acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system. Some rivals offer additional features such as advanced high beams, safe exit warnings, and emergency stop functions.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses a 13-inch touchscreen with the Pivi Pro system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad. The system is quicker and sharper than before, though the screen sits lower than ideal in the driver’s sight line.
• Fuel efficiency: The six-cylinder Range Rover is estimated to return 21 mpg in combined driving, and the review describes that figure as rather poor.

Which 2022 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 2 trim levels: P400 and P530.

Here's the short version:

• P400: This is the better-value choice if you want the core Range Rover experience without stepping up to the more powerful engine. It delivers smooth, effortless acceleration, standard four-wheel drive, and the same refined luxury character that defines the model.
• P530: Choose this if you want the stronger twin-turbo V8 and the extra performance that comes with it. It suits you best if you care more about power than value.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim to get the core driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,295 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,458, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $54,065 sits slightly below last year's $60,173.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because this model sits in the premium luxury segment, well-kept examples should still attract interest from shoppers who want comfort and presence. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover has no published crash test results from either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

All new 2022 Range Rovers come standard with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system. Those features performed as intended during testing, and the surround-view cameras are especially useful when maneuvering off-road.

The main caveat is that some rivals offer additional safety technology, including advanced high beams, safe exit warnings, and emergency stop functions. That means the Range Rover is well equipped, but not class-leading in every safety category.

Should I buy a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 redesign brings a simpler interior and a notable improvement in technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $39,226, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $54,065 average.
• It offers multiple powertrain options and a distinctly upscale cabin.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the newer redesign, improved technology, and a stronger overall shopping position in today’s market. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better price-sensitive path, especially if you value the Range Rover’s luxury presence more than the latest updates.
