Used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover for Sale nearNewark, NJ

How much does the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover cost?

Prices have softened 11.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,274 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.0/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

It fits you well if you want a large premium luxury SUV that emphasizes refinement, a comfortable ride, and premium interior materials. The redesign is subtle from the outside, but the cabin is simpler and the technology is notably improved.

The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and limited cargo space may matter if you want more everyday practicality from a vehicle this size.

37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Range Rover is built around refinement, with a solid-feeling cabin, smooth ride quality, and quiet road manners that support day-to-day durability expectations. Its performance setup is also straightforward, with an eight-speed automatic and standard four-wheel drive helping the SUV deliver confident operation in a wide range of conditions.

The cost side is less reassuring for long-term ownership, since this is an expensive luxury SUV with poor fuel economy and high purchase prices. For used buyers, the main risk is that ownership costs can stay elevated even if the vehicle itself feels well sorted.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a full record of prior damage or repairs. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the cabin electronics, ride quality, and any signs of wear in a high-end interior. You should also pay close attention to how the vehicle presents overall, since condition matters a lot in a luxury SUV at this price point.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is simplified with fewer buttons and knobs, and the larger touchscreen gives the interior a more modern look. Base versions still feel premium, but you should compare equipment carefully because the standard setup is more restrained than the richer upper trims.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder mild hybrid with 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, plus a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. The six-cylinder is smooth and quick enough for most drivers, while the V8 adds more power.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system. Some rivals offer additional features such as advanced high beams, safe exit warnings, and emergency stop functions.
• Infotainment: The Range Rover uses a 13-inch touchscreen with the Pivi Pro system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. It also includes a wireless charging pad, with Amazon Alexa integration, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and smartphone app control available.
• Fuel efficiency: The six-cylinder Range Rover is estimated to return 21 mpg in combined city and highway driving.

Which 2022 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 2 trim levels: P400 and P530.

Here's the short version:

• P400: This is the better-value choice if you want the core Range Rover experience without chasing maximum output. It delivers 395 horsepower, 406 pound-feet of torque, and smooth, effortless acceleration that should satisfy most buyers.
• P530: Choose this if you want the stronger 523 hp V8 and the extra performance that comes with it. It suits you best if you want the most powerful version and are willing to pay for it.

Standard safety equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate buyer's market, so you can shop selectively and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,274 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,494, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $53,497 sits slightly below last year's $60,275.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. The Range Rover's premium positioning still supports demand, but the current trend shows that shoppers have more leverage than they did a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

It earns 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system. Those features performed as intended in testing, and the surround-view cameras are especially useful when maneuvering off-road or in tight spaces.

There are no published crash test results from either NHTSA or IIHS for this model year. Compared with some rivals, it also misses a few advanced safety features such as advanced high beams, safe exit warnings, and emergency stop functions.

Should I buy a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a simpler interior and a notable improvement in technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $39,633, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $53,497 average.
• It offers multiple powertrain options and a distinctly upscale cabin.

The bottom line: If you want the more refined and better-equipped version, the 2022 is the stronger pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you can live with its older tech and less polished package.
