What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for electronics, suspension behavior, and signs of wear that could affect a luxury SUV with complex systems. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been cared for.

The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 4 trim levels: HSE, Autobiography, SVAutobiography Dynamic, and SVAutobiography.

Here's the short version:

• HSE: This is the best-value starting point if you want the Range Rover experience without jumping straight into the highest-priced trims. It adds 20-way power-adjustable front seats, upgraded perforated leather upholstery, heated rear seats, and power-reclining rear seats, making it a strong step up in comfort and rear-seat amenities.
• Autobiography: This trim is the right move if you want a more indulgent cabin, since it adds semi-aniline leather, quad-zone climate control, heated-and-ventilated front seats, and massaging front seats. It suits you best if you want the luxury feel to be a bigger part of the ownership experience.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,025 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,171, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $33,171 sits slightly below last year's $39,869.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper future resale upside if you sell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that this model’s value is sensitive to market sentiment and ownership costs, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and present it cleanly, you’ll be in a better position to preserve value than a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include low-speed automatic emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, front-and-rear parking sensors, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. You also get traction control, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and a full array of front-and-side-impact airbags. Available upgrades include a 360-degree parking camera, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, high-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, driver-drowsiness monitoring, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, and traffic-sign recognition.

The available 360-degree camera and parking sensors are especially useful on a large SUV like this one. Several advanced driver-assistance features are optional, so it’s worth checking the exact equipment on any used listing you consider.

Should I buy a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It benefits from updated infotainment and safety tech, plus a broad powertrain lineup.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $39,633, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $33,171 average.
• It adds a more current model-year alternative with the same upscale appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter starting point because prices have softened and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer example, the 2021 is the cleaner alternative for buyers who prioritize model-year freshness over savings.
