How much does the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover cost?

Prices have softened 15.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,257 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

It stands out as a large premium luxury SUV that blends style, comfort, and premium interior materials, while the cabin feels more modern thanks to a simpler design and improved technology. The tradeoff is that it is still aimed at buyers who want luxury first, with off-road capability as part of the package rather than the main focus.

Cons: Poor fuel economy and not much cargo space are the main compromises.

With 37.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Range Rover is presented as a refined, premium SUV with a solid-feeling cabin and a calm, composed driving character. Its powertrains are described as smooth and effortless, and the vehicle’s off-road systems are built to handle demanding conditions when needed.

The six-cylinder setup is described as more than adequate for most drivers, with quick and smooth gear changes that make power delivery feel seamless. The cost side is less reassuring, since fuel economy is poor and the vehicle sits firmly in the premium-luxury price bracket.

If you buy used, the biggest long-term ownership risk is that high running costs can outweigh the satisfaction of owning it.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a vehicle this expensive. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy use, and whether the cabin, electronics, and bodywork show the kind of wear you’d expect from a luxury SUV.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is simplified with fewer buttons and knobs, and the larger tablet-like touchscreen gives the interior a more modern look. Base-trim equipment is already strong, but the overall feel is still defined by premium materials and a high-end presentation.
• Powertrain: The Range Rover offers a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder mild hybrid with 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, or a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 with 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. Both pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.
• Infotainment: You get a 13-inch touchscreen with the Pivi Pro system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad. The system is quicker and sharper than before, though the screen sits lower than ideal.
• Fuel efficiency: The six-cylinder model is estimated at 21 mpg in combined driving, and the overall fuel economy is described as poor.

Which 2022 Land Rover Range Rover trim should I buy?

The 2022 Land Rover Range Rover is offered in 2 trim levels: P400 and P530.

Here's the short version:

• P400: This is the better-value choice if you want the core Range Rover experience without stepping up to the more powerful engine. It still gives you the smooth, refined character, strong luxury presentation, and standard four-wheel drive that define the model.
• P530: Choose this if you want the stronger twin-turbo V8 and the extra performance that comes with it. It suits you best if you want maximum power and are willing to pay for it.

The standard safety package includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Land Rover Range Rover?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,257 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $53,023, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover's resale value?

The current average of $53,023 sits slightly below last year's $63,015.

That decline suggests the used market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face more price pressure than they would have a year ago. If you buy at the right number now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later. Strong condition and a clean history will matter even more in a premium SUV like this.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Land Rover Range Rover safe?

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver assistance includes frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, and a surround-view camera system. Those features give you a solid baseline of protection and convenience.

A key caveat is that neither NHTSA nor IIHS crash test results are published for this model year. Compared with some rivals, it also lacks certain advanced safety items such as advanced high beams, safe exit warnings, and emergency stop functions.

Should I buy a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2022 brings a redesigned cabin with a simpler layout and notably improved technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $38,597, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $53,023 average.
• It offers multiple powertrain options and a distinctive luxury presence.

The bottom line: If you want the newer cabin, improved tech, and stronger current-market availability, the 2022 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Range Rover’s core appeal.
